"Huh?" Areum was a bit surprised that Jay actually came to her house just for some... writing? She was honestly grateful for her habit to leave her makeup on until night. "You want me to write stuff for you?"

Jay nodded violently.

"..."

"It's Daniel's birthday soon?" Areum asked, looking at the text Jay sent her since she couldn't understand him.

"..."

"Ohhhhh, tomorrow." Areum read the new text.

Areum was pretty good at English and at writing. Which made sense since she read a lot of manhwas and webtoons in middle school... but she was more than willing to help Jay.

"But you know you didn't have to come here. You could've just texted or have Joy call me."

"..."

"Let's screw the newbie today!"

"Let's ask him about his cheap clothing."

"Haha, okay."

"You mean bastards..." Namjoon sweat-dropped.

"Ooh!"

"Danny!"

"He's here! Daniel Park!"

But when Daniel had walked in and greeted everyone, Namjoon and the twins were shocked. Jaws on the floor. The reason? Daniel's wardrobe today. A B@lmain seasonal coat, V@lentino Camo Rockstud sneakers, a G#venchy Rottweiler backpack, and a H@blot watch. Together worth over a grand! While all together it looked a little tacky... it was extremely impressive and shocking.

"Hey... isn't Daniel looking hotter than usual?"

"He looks super sleek."

"Daniel's smile is glistening today."

"So he's not poor after all."

"Danny, did you buy new clothes? They look great." Zoe said to Daniel, whilst playing it cool and flirty on the outside, she was squealing on the inside.

"Huh? Clothes? Thanks... I got some cheap duds." Daniel replied.

"W-what?!"

"Cheap?!"

"Does he have rich parents?" Namjoon thought. "Where'd he get those pricy duds? I've gotta find even more expensive brands!"

"Hey Daniel! Where'd you buy this vintage wallet?" A girl asked.

"Oh that thing. There's no brand." Daniel replied.

"Really? It's nice."

"Yeah... Last year, my mom gave it to me." Daniel smiled.

"W... what? Is that possible? He's not ashamed of that?" Namjoon thought as he remembered all the times he asked his mom to buy something for him or to just give him money. "He's like that but I'm..."

"Hey! Hi Jay! Yesterday..." Daniel tried to thank Jay right then, but from his perspective it looked like Jay didn't hear him. "Huh? Didn't he hear me? Tryin to say thanks for the clothes and money but... Gotta try again later. 

When Daniel sat at his own desk, he was smiling to himself, being really happy and thankful. Not seeing Jay smiling.

"Jay, really, any of these are fine." Areum said to Jay, reading over his letters and notes to Daniel for his birthday. "Just pick one."

Jay shook his head.

"Why don't you just write happy birthday?"

"..."

"You did think of that, right...?" Areum said as she wrote "Happy BDay" on a slip of paper with some money to give to Daniel since she didn't know it was his birthday tomorrow.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ So I said this in my conversations tab but I forgot to notify y'all but I'm gonna try to pre write a bunch of chapters and pump those the rest of the semester. I've just been busy and overwhelmed (which is why this chapter is so short) and I accidentally abandoned you guys and the book 😭😭
