Class 1-A had invited Class 1-B for a fun beach trip over the long weekend, an idea sparked by Kirishima and Kaminari that somehow convinced even Bakugou to join in. It wasn't often that both classes did something together that wasn't training or sparring, so everyone was looking forward to a relaxing day.
The sun was blazing, the ocean waves crashing rhythmically against the shore, and laughter filled the air as the students from both classes enjoyed the day. Class 1-B was just arriving, all wearing bikinis and trunks, which immediately set the tone for a fun beach day. Bakugou, though, wasn't paying much attention to the others, he was more interested in finding you.
You were running late, something you'd texted him about earlier. "Of course she's late," Bakugou muttered to himself, scanning the shore for any sign of you. He wasn't sure why, but he felt a little more on edge than usual. Maybe it was the beach atmosphere or the fact that everyone was so carefree, but Bakugou had an unsettling feeling about something he couldn't quite place.
That was until he saw you.
You appeared at the edge of the beach, your silhouette immediately catching his eye. You wore a light beach dress, the sheer fabric flowing around your body in a way that accentuated your figure without fully revealing it. The dress was tied at the waist with a ribbon, and as you walked closer, the sunlight filtered through the fabric, giving you an almost ethereal glow.
Bakugou's breath hitched for a moment, his heart skipping a beat. It wasn't like he hadn't seen you in casual clothes before, but something about seeing you in this beach dress, so relaxed and at ease, made his mind race. He couldn't help but admire how effortlessly beautiful you looked.
But of course, he quickly schooled his expression into his usual stoic demeanor. "Tch, finally," he muttered under his breath, though the blush creeping up his neck gave him away.
You approached him with a grin, waving as you joined the group. "Sorry I'm late, Kat'ski! Took me forever to find parking."
He grumbled in response, trying not to let it show how flustered he was. "Took you long enough. We've been here for an hour already."
You laughed it off, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Yeah, yeah, I'm here now, aren't I?"
As the activities started, everyone rushed to the water, including Bakugou and Kirishima, who wasted no time diving into the ocean and starting an impromptu water war. Class 1-A versus Class 1-B, with all the students either splashing, dunking, or trying to avoid being caught in the chaos. Bakugou, as competitive as always, led the charge, blasting water at anyone who dared challenge him.
Amid the chaos, he couldn't help but steal glances at you. You hadn't joined the others in the water yet, instead lounging under a beach umbrella with a relaxed smile on your face, clearly enjoying the peacefulness of the moment. Bakugou managed to slip away from the water war, leaving Kirishima and the others to fend for themselves as he made his way over to you.
He approached, dripping wet, with a playful smirk. "Oi, why aren't you out there?" Bakugou asked, looming over you as you lay on the sand.
You opened one eye lazily and glanced up at him, a small smirk forming on your lips. "I'm too lazy to fight with everyone. I'll let you handle that."
Bakugou scoffed, shaking his head. "Figures. You just gonna sit here all day like a princess?"
You chuckled softly. "Maybe. I am enjoying the view, though," you teased, earning a roll of the eyes from Bakugou.
After a brief moment of silence, you sat up, your smirk growing as an idea formed in your mind. "Hey, Kat'ski," you said sweetly, drawing out his nickname in that teasing way you knew would get his attention.
