Before you knew it, it was finally another weekend.
With a sigh of relief, you decided to indulge in some relaxation. You had been buried in homework for the past few days, and now that you had some free time, your mind wandered to one of your old childhood pastimes, playing Roblox.
You used to be a full-blown iPad kid, spending hours on the game as a kid. Now that you were in your third year at U.A., some things never really got old.
With a mischievous grin, you grabbed your phone and texted Bakugou.
You: Hey! Hop on Roblox, lets play!!
It only took a few seconds before your phone buzzed with a reply.
Bakugou: What the hell is Roblox?
You stared at the message in shock for a good five seconds.
No way.
Katsuki Bakugou, of all people, didn't know what Roblox was? That was basically a crime in your book. Without wasting a second, you grabbed your laptop, phone and basic necessities, slipped on your shoes, and made a beeline straight to Class 3-B's dorms.
Moments later, you were knocking furiously on his door. Bakugou opened it, looking at you with an alarmed expression. "You didn't tell me you were coming over dumbass. What's got you all riled up?"
"What do you mean, what's Roblox?!" you exclaimed, practically shoving your way into his room. "That's it, Mr. Explosions. I'm teaching you today. No more excuses. You need to understand the greatness that is Roblox."
Bakugou grumbled something under his breath as you made yourself comfortable on his bed, pulling out your laptop and opening up the Wifi section, immediately connecting to Class 3-B dorms wifi. Then you opened your Roblox tab and cracked your knuckles.
He sat down on his desk chair, crossing his arms and facing you, his face set in an annoyed frown. "I don't see why you're making such a big deal out of this."
"Seriously though, Kat'ski. You don't know what Roblox is?" Your curiositiy piqued and you looked at him like a deer in headlights.
"Of course I know it, dumbass. I just don't know how to play it." He rolled his eyes and continued to scowl at you.
You rolled your eyes. "Trust me, by the time we're done, you'll be hooked. Or at least, mildly entertained."
Bakugou scoffed but didn't argue as you began setting up an account for him.
When it came time to choose a username, you paused, turning to him with a grin. "Alright, what do you want your username to be?"
He furrowed his brow, thinking for a moment. "What's wrong with just using my name?"
You laughed, shaking your head. "That's too boring. Plus, don't you know the basic rules of Online Netiquette?"
"The fuck is that?!" Bakugou barked, his patience thinning as time flew by.
"Ugh. Whatever." You dropped the topic and added, "We need something cool. Something that screams 'I'm better than you.'"
Bakugou rolled his eyes but smirked. "Fine. How about 'KingExplosionGodDynamightImTheBestYouDamnExtrasAndIAlwaysWillBe'?"
You snorted, holding back laughter. "That's too dang long, idiot! But I knew you'd go for that..." You thought for a moment, humming, before your eyes lit up and you turned to look at him, "What about something more subtle? Like, I dunno, 'BlastyMurder'?"
His face lit up with a mischievous glint. "Fuck no. What about 'GroundZero'?"
You raised an eyebrow, impressed. "That actually sounds cool. Totally fits your whole vibe of blowing stuff up."
He crossed his arms, nodding. "Yeah, we'll go with that. 'GroundZero' it is."
You typed it in, satisfied with the name choice, only for your eyebrows to furrow as the dreaded red text flashed across the screen: "Username Already Taken."
"Uh oh. It says someone already took that username."
"Just add fucking 69 in the end."
"Oh." You deadpanned and slapped your forehead mentally, "Why didn't I think of that..."
"Alright, 'GroundZero_69,' you're officially a Roblox player. Welcome to the world of Roblox."
Bakugou smirked and stood up from his chair, climbing in his bed to sit beside you. "Let's see how many of these idiots I can blow up in this game."
You giggled and navigated to the Edit Avatar tab, "Alright, so first things first, we need to create your avatar. You can dress them up however you want. Want to make him look like you?"
He glanced at the customization options on your screen, unimpressed. "I don't need that dumb stupid blocky thing looking like me. Just give him spiky hair and we're good."
You chuckled at his reaction, scrolling through the items, only to realize you needed robux for better customization. "Looks like we'll need some robux for that cool hair."
Bakugou sighed dramatically, reaching into his pocket and tossing his card onto your laptop. "Fine. Get whatever you need. Just hurry it up."
Grinning, you picked up the card, leaning over to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, Kat, you the best." you teased, already picturing his avatar with spiky hair and a scowl to match.
Before long, you had his avatar set up with spiky hair, a black shirt, gray sweatpants, some combat boots and a scowling face to match.
"Nice, that'll do," you said, satisfied with the avatar. "What do you think?"
Bakugou squinted at the screen, eyeing the avatar with a scrutinizing expression. His spiky-haired, black-shirted mini version looked tough, just the way he liked it. "Hmph, not bad," he muttered, crossing his arms. "Looks like me, minus the explosions."
You chuckled, knowing he was trying hard not to show how pleased he actually was. "You gonna blow up the noobs now?"
He smirked, his crimson eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Hell yeah. Let's see how many of these losers I can take down."
You let out a laugh and pressed the Home button, redirecting both of you back to the wide selection of games to choose from.
"Now for the fun part. There are so many games on Roblox, we've got everything from obstacle courses to horror games, to building stuff, and more." You explained and looked at him, smiling at his amazed expression that soon changed into a perplexed one as he pointed to one particular game that caught his eye.
"Escape P-Diddy's Haunted House?" he asked, his brow furrowed.
You burst into laughter, nearly doubling over. "Yeah, there are weird games in Roblox too. I guess that one is one of those."
"What the- Bake Da Baby? Who the hell plays that shit?" Bakugou gawked and you laughed even harder.
"I don't know either."
Bakugou let out a frustrated sigh and shook his head. "Honestly, I don't even know if I wanna play this shitty game anymore. This is for kids."
"Hey! Your best friend plays this, for crying out loud. Practically all of our classmates yours and mine play Roblox during free time." You argued, seeing Bakugou's face morphed into one with horrors.
"Well shit," he muttered.
You grinned, sensing the perfect opportunity. "Alright, enough complaining. Looks like it's time for me to teach you the basics," you said, cracking your knuckles playfully. "Prepare yourself, Kat'ski. You're about to enter the world of Roblox!"
"Wow. I'm so fucking excited."
