It was a normal afternoon at U.A., and Bakugou was in a mischievous mood. While heading to class that day, he had spotted a large, fake spider lying abandoned by the Class 1-A hallway. Immediately, an idea formed in his head, and he couldn't help but smirk as he grabbed it, thinking of the perfect prank. He knew you had an irrational fear of bugs, and though he usually wasn't the teasing type, today he couldn't resist.
After classes ended, you were hanging out in the Class 1-B dorms' common room, when Bakugou strolled in, trying to hide his excitement behind his usual scowl. "Hey, babe. Got something for ya," he said casually, his voice laced with a hint of mischief. You looked up from your book, curious but unsuspecting.
"Yeah? What is it?" you asked, setting the book down and looking at him.
He tossed something towards you, and as it landed on your lap, you immediately felt a weird texture beneath your fingers. You glanced down, and your heart nearly jumped out of your chest.
A massive spider.
Your scream echoed through the room as you flung the fake bug across the floor, jumping to your feet in panic. "BAKUGOU!" you yelled, eyes wide, heart racing.
Bakugou, on the other hand, was doubled over in laughter, clutching his stomach. He had seen you scared before, but this reaction was priceless to him. "You should've seen your face!" he managed between laughs.
You were not amused. "That wasn't funny! I hate bugs, Katsuki!" you shouted, crossing your arms in frustration. Your cheeks were flushed, and you were glaring at him.
Bakugou wiped the tears from his eyes, his laughter slowly dying down as he caught sight of your expression. He quickly realized that maybe, just maybe, he had taken it too far. He walked over to you, hands raised in surrender.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry, babe. It was just a joke," he said, his voice softer now, his eyes focused on you. But you weren't having it.
"No, it wasn't funny at all," you snapped, turning your back to him, refusing to look him in the eye.
Seeing you genuinely upset stirred something in Bakugou. He hated seeing you like this, especially when he was the cause. Without another word, he gently grabbed your arm and spun you around, pulling you into his chest. Before you could protest, his lips were on yours in a soft, apologetic kiss.
You tried to resist at first, still annoyed, but Bakugou's kisses were always your weakness. Slowly, you melted into the kiss, your frustration easing just a little. When he finally pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
"Forgive me?" he asked, his voice low and a little playful. You could tell he felt a bit guilty beneath his usual tough demeanor.
You let out a sigh, your heart rate returning to normal. "You're lucky you're cute," you muttered, still half-pouting but starting to give in.
Bakugou chuckled. "Damn right I am," he said arrogantly, but there was a softness in his eyes. He then added, "I won't mess with bugs anymore. Promise."
You gave him a small smile in return, your irritation completely gone now. Bakugou, never one to openly apologize in words, was following you around the rest of the evening, being unusually attentive. He even stuck close like a guard dog, keeping his distance from any potential spider-like pranks.
"Kat'ski, stop following me everywhere," you teased, feeling him right behind you as you walked around the common room.
He shrugged. "Just making sure you don't freak out again."
"Sure," you replied with a roll of your eyes, but inside, you appreciated his efforts to make it up to you.
At least you knew he'd think twice before pulling that prank again.
