"We buyin you the first 2 minutes, nothing more. You got 2 minutes to get to the forest and 8 minutes to get to town before that carriage leaves."

"YOU CANT ESCAPE WITCH!" I kept my eyes forward as Betsy ran through the forest, twigs and branches hittin me in my face.

"Time to loose'em girl." I whispered to Betsy, kicking her side causing her to run faster.

"What you gonna do once you in the forest?" Benjamin asked while I helped him prepare the gun powder for the fireworks show we was bout to put on.

"Lead'em towards the creek, that's where he resides."

"Why?" He asked, openin up the window up.

"He waitin for me."

Looking up at the sky, the sun was settin, good. I just needed 2 more minutes, just 2 more.

Finally reaching the creek, I knew I wouldn't have time to get off and cross over. Betsy would never cross the creek, all the horses too scared to go past it. But I couldn't stop her, I was gone have to jump it. Especially cuss they were right on my tail.

"Whenever you find yourself falling from a great height, roll. If you try and land on your feet you'll break your ankles." Benjamin told me, making me roll around on the grass like a crazy person.

It'd been three months since he'd been teaching me his ways of survival. The first two months were excruciating. Mainly running and climbing through the forest, said it's to build up muscle, stamina, and speed.

"You workin me like an old mule."

"You startin to talk more and more like me everyday." He smiled, his head facing the ground.

"I spend most of my time with you rollin about like a circus monkey." I told him, damn near breakin my back on that last roll.

"That's cuss you not doin it the way I showed you, you trynna do it the fast way and that ain't gone help you none."

I smacked my teeth and stood up.

"Show me again then." He took his hat off, getting on the ground.

"Bend your knees like this, have your hands flat and ready to cushion your fall, then jump"

I breathed heavily, praying and hopin this wasn't gone kill me as I was lunged off and flown so high in the hair.

I didn't even realized I'd made it cross until I'd heard them scream from across the creek.

"SHE RIGHT THERE!"

I didn't have to think bout the pain in my arm from that fall. I just ran till I couldn't run no more.

Lookin round as I'd run deeper into the woods I'd never been in, lost, confused and in pain, I heard gun shots. They were trynna slow me down by shootin me; I expected as much but now that they've done that he'll hear them for sure. And with the sun now gone, he'll be comin soon.

Running further into the woods, dodging fallen trees and branches hitting me in my face, I came to a complete stop in front of a big, rusted gate.

Hiding behind it was a half burned down castle. This must be where the treasure was buried, had to be according to the map id memorized several times a day.

Just as I was about to slip through the gates, I felt a sharp pain in my leg causing me to fall to the ground in agonizing pain.

"Gotcha." Henry snatched the hood from my head, the grin on his face now gone.

"What's wrong? Not expecting me?" I laughed, the pain making its way up my entire leg.

"Where is she?" One of them asked, pointing the gun at my head. I just shrugged.

"Where is who?"

He cocked it.

"Don't play dumb with me girl; where is the witch?" I shrugged again, lying against the gate as blood split from my pant leg.

"Fine, don't talk. That ain't gone help you none no way." He grabbed the rope from his side, tying up my hands and forcing up me to my feet.

"Walk." I fell back down to the ground, not able to get up again.

"How the hell imma walk when you shot me in my damn leg?" I breathed heavily, my leg bleeding more from the standing.

"I said walk." I looked up at him with grimace, sitting down with my hands over my legs refusing to move an inch.

"Why can't we just hang her right here and now? She's already helped that witch escape, that's punishable by death."

"We can't kill her. Father Salvatore wants her alive." Henry said, taking a knife out while coming near me.

"He won't need her alive if we find that damn crucifix. I bet you it's at her house which is empty now; could say she refused and tried to stab one of us." He said making up lies to tell while Henry cut my pant leg off.

"Too bad it ain't there." I laughed, my vision goin in and out from all the blood loss.

"Tell us where you stashed it you witch or imma put a bullet in your other leg." I just laughed before a sharp object dug itself into my skin, causing to me release the most gut wrenching scream I'd ever mustered.

"Got it." Henry's voice sounded so far away even though he was right infront of me.

I began to hear this ringing in my ears as dots clouded my vision and the tightness round my chest became too much to handle.

"I told you it'd hurt."
