I wanted to take the time to discuss some of the new changes of my book, Bounds, which used to be names something entirely different (Eternally Yours).
So let's get into it:
The title: as I was going back and reading my own work I felt like the title and cover was off and needed some adjustments. I think Bounds is a better title because of the meaning behind the story. I won't spoil it too much but to make a long story short, my characters and story needed a direction they previous didn't have and through the tweaks and edits I made I found one for them that also fits the narrative I'm creating.
The timeline: rereading my story and seeing all the plot holes and just bad writing and no direction, it was just a lot. Like my writing is not the best but it was definitely mumbo jumbo for sure. So the first thing I wanted to fix was the timeline and I feel like I've made it more digestible, comprehensible and all around better as a whole.
The main changes to the timeline was setting it in 1641-1643 even though the Salem witch trials were set in the late 1640s - 1690s but everything seemed so rushed and not natural enough for the characters. There is a reason for this but will be explained later on in the Book. I will also put out an official timeline chapter at the end of part one.
Overall, I think the changes are much better and make the story more compelling and gives depth to my characters instead of them being so two dimensional. I also think the changes added more clarity to certain things as well which I will explain in a synopsis chapter later on.
