3rd POV

49 years later, we find ourselves in a dark night in an alleyway of L.A. where a woman was taking a shortcut to get home. But she wasn't aware of the danger that was behind her. A gang of thugs looking to have a bit of fun. They then sprung on her laughing and holding her at gunpoint and knife point. She screamed for help hoping somebody would but no one came. Just as all hope seems lost, an orange blur sped on by saving her by slicing their guns and knives, and knocking them out with punches and kicks easily and disappeared in milliseconds. She was shocked by what she saw, but she then found a note on one of the thugs. "From yours truly, Solar Wind ;)" Solar wind... she heard about this before. In fact, the entire world has heard of it: reports of orange blurs and figures saving and helping others all around the world. How whoever this person or people were doing this, no one has ever figured out in the last 49 years. But others looked at him, or her, or them as hope. As if heroes really do exist in the world.

Sora POV

Well that was fun. Nothing like kicking the crap out of those who think they are top dogs of the streets. Anyways, it was time to head back to one of my base camps in Oregon in a cave at Crater Lake. I found this place not too long after I escaped that weird lab I woke up in, and now, it's one of my favorite spots. It's not home, but it's my summer palace. Over the last 49 years of living, I still can't understand how I've been this young and alive at the same time. It could have something to do with my unique abilities I learned from an... Incident. Ever since... it happened, I was able to fully control powers I never knew I possessed. My shoes could make me skate super fast and even make me fly. I can fire projectiles, teleport to limited distances, curl up into a ball and smash into things while colliding, I call that move spin-dash. And even stop time with my speed. And to power up and make myself stronger, my eyes glow a dark orange. The same with my streaks and quills. And dark orange lighting is produced out of my body. I usually don't use that move unless I absolutely need to. All these powers respond to my emotions, so it took a long time to master. And I got better at  fighting with my sword thanks to months of self training.

Anyways, I decided to take a little break before going to bed by watching the stars at the mouth of the cave. While sitting down and looking up at the stars, I couldn't help but think about how lonely things have gotten. I've wanted to reveal myself to the world. Really, I have. But I know I can't because there's no idea what could happen. Would humanity as these creatures call themselves accept me, or would they turn against me and hunt me down and lock me up. It made me frown and look down feeling an empty space inside of me. I don't have anyone I could actually relate to. No friends, no parents, no siblings, nothing. I felt something wet slide down my cheek, wiping it with my hand, I noticed I was crying. This feeling of loneliness has come up so many times. And no matter how hard I try to stay positive, helping others, I've been feeling more and more blue seeing most humans have good friendships with one another. Laughing, joking, talking with each other, just being friends, even having relationships. This damn feeling always made me feel jealous of others! It's not like I held it against them, I just wish I could have a moment of friendship like how humans do. And after all this time, there was no clear answer to where I came from, or who I am.  I figured I could just sleep it off to just ignore the feeling. I made my way to my sleeping spot, hopefully to get these feelings to back off.

As I was about to drift off, I noticed my lightning beginning to flare up, not from my emotions, but on their own. As if something activated it. I began to stand up to look at the rest of my body to see if it was emitting lightning, and it was. Suddenly, in the distance. "What the hell?" I said to myself. I then spotted what looked like some sort of shock-wave coming right at me. I stood my ground getting ready for it coming with my left arm shielding my face and my feet ready to keep me in place. When it reached me, it nudged me quite a little, but my lightning flared up from it.

I tried to keep my lightning under control by wiping my arms, legs and spikes rapidly. But something was off about that shock-wave. It looked like an electromagnetic pulse, but it's power felt similar to mine. Just when I thought that I got it under control, lightning was still emitting from my arms and rings, but something was off about it. I noticed the lightning would dissipate when my wrists would point in different locations except for one. Was it trying to tell me something? "Interesting." I thought to myself. I made up my mind to find out what created that shock-wave, and why my lightning was acting like this. Facing the direction my lightning was emitting from, I skated off.. to find where and what created that energy shock-wave.
