It was the last period, as n teachers was there all were chatting in the class.

eunwoo watched Jungkook working. That’s when eunwoo remembered something; he took a file out of his bag and walked over to Jungkook, who was engrossed in his work. eunwoo sighed and called, “Yah, Jeon Jung—” He stopped, correcting himself, “Yah, Kim Jungkook.” eunwoo's voice was cold.

Jungkook looked up. “What?” voice was cold asual

“Here’s the document. your dad asked me to give it to you; talk to him to get the details,” eunwoo said and was about to leave, but Jungkook's voice stopped him.

“Do you still do the work?”

eunwoo turned back, scoffing bitterly. “Of course—a slave has to work for his owner, right?”

“Why did you join again?” Jungkook asked while gritting his teeth.

eunwoo stepped closer to him. “Why do you care, mister? It’s none of your business. Don’t even think about getting closer to me; I haven’t forgotten anything.” With anger on his face, eunwoo stormed away, leaving Jungkook staring at his fading figure.

Jungkook sighed, then looked at the file. He opened it and saw the writing: “Mission: Get information on MANIAC’s head—PARK HYUN KWON.” He sighed, put the file in his bag, grabbed it, and left the class as the university ended.

He walked to his bike, he sat on the bike and rode to a nearby park whick Tae and Jimin had shown him two days before.

Upon arriving, he removed his helmet, sat on a bench, and looked at the orange sky. After a while, he took out his phone and called Hyun Woo.

“Hello, Kook?” Hyun Woo answered.

“Why didn’t you tell me eunwoo rejoined the mafia?” Jungkook asked, his voice icy.

“J-Jungkook, t-that…” Hyun Woo stammered, cut off when Jungkook demanded, “I asked why didn’t you tell me?”

Hyun Woo took a deep breath. “Your dad told us not to, and Hae-in said not to mention it either.”

“Fine, do whatever you want. I’m no one to ask or care about this. But remember this: if anything happens to eunwoo or my noona, I won’t be easy for you and him” Jungkook warned, his tone cold and stern.

“N-nae, Kook,” Hyun Woo replied nervously.

“And I’m telling you again: if Kim does anything to me, I don’t care. But if he harms them, I swear he and everyone around him will pay,” Jungkook said and hung up without giving Hyun Woo a chance to reply.

After that, Jungkook returned to the mansion, where he saw Jin sitting on the couch, lost in thought. Jungkook ignored him and walked toward his room, stopping only when Jin called him. “Kookie,” he said. Jungkook turned around. “Come down after you freshen up,” Jin said with a smile. Jungkook nodded and left.

When Jungkook came down, freshened up, he saw Jin in the dining hall, sipping coffee. Jungkook took a seat.

“Oh, Kookie,” Jin said, snapping out of his thoughts.

“Why did you call?” Jungkook asked.

“Umm, I just wanted to inform you to be careful. I’ve strengthened the guards for safety purposes. If you feel like someone is watching you or feel unsafe, call me or Tae immediately.”

Jungkook looked at him with no reaction. “Guards? Why do I need guards?” even thoughh he know the nswer, he asked as he want jin to spit it.

“It’s unsafe, Kook. d-dad's or my business Rivals may try to harm you,” Jin replied. Jungkook scoffed bitterly, looking away.
