Jungkook slowly opened his eyes. As soon as he did, he regretted it—a sharp pain shot through his head. He groaned and held his head tightly."K-Kookie, a-are you fine?" Tae's shaky voice reached his ears.
Jungkook blinked slowly and looked at Tae, but another wave of pain hit him, making him whimper. As he glanced around, he realized that this wasn’t his room. Suddenly, a nauseous feeling crept up inside him. He quickly covered his mouth and got up, rushing to the restroom.
The moment he reached the toilet, he started gagging. Liquid spilled out, burning his throat like hell. He gagged again, but nothing came out this time. A few tears escaped his eyes from the strain.
"Let it out, Kookie. Don’t hold it in. I’m here. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine," Jin said softly, rubbing his back in a soothing motion.
Jungkook heaved one last time, but his stomach was completely empty now. The only thing left was the unbearable pain.
"Are you okay now?" Jin asked, concern dripping from his voice.
Jungkook nodded weakly, panting.
"Come on, let’s get you up. I’m here," Jin said as he helped Jungkook stand. Jin flushed the toilet, then guided Jungkook to the sink. Jin helped Jungkook to wash his face, jungkook barely had the energy to do so and also didn't have any energy to speak.
Once they were done jin brought Jungkook to the bed
"Hyungie, here," Tae said, handing a glass of warm water.
Jin took it and gently placed it near Jungkook’s lips.
"Drink it slowly. Your throat must be hurting, so sip it little by little," Jin instructed.
Jungkook nodded slightly and took small sips. He was holding the glass, but it was Jin who provided most of the support.
"Lie down, hmm? The doctor is coming," Jin said, caressing Jungkook’s hair.
Jungkook didn’t say anything—he just stared into Jin’s eyes.
"Kookie, does your head still hurt?" Jin asked, worried.
Jungkook didn’t respond this time either.
"Kookie, say something. You’re scaring us," Tae said, his voice trembling, on the verge of tears.
Jungkook looked at Tae and saw his tear-filled eyes.
"Why are they this worried about me? Do they really care about me? But why? Do I deserve this? No… right? Then why?"
Jungkook questioned himself silently.
(So you guys tell me... Do jungkook really deserve care? Why is he thinking he don't deserve anything?? Any guesses???)
He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the door opening. He turned his gaze towards it—it was Hyunwoo.
"Jungkookie," Hyunwoo called out and immediately walked to him. He placed his hand on Jungkook’s forehead and asked, "Since when have you had a fever?"
"F-F-From m-morning, I think," Jungkook stammered, his voice weak. He looked at Hyunwoo, but his mind felt hazy.
Another door opened, but Jungkook didn’t turn to see who it was.
"Kookie, the doctor is here, hmm? He will treat you. First, tell me, is your head still hurting?" Hyunwoo asked gently.
Jungkook nodded slightly.
"Doctor, please treat him," Hyunwoo said.
The doctor nodded and began unpacking medical supplies.
"First, check his temperature," a woman's voice instructed.
