Agent Mikell chuckled, tipping his hat slightly. "You're not wrong, kid," he said with a glint of mischief in his eyes. "But let's just say... the Bright family isn't exactly normal."

I opened my mouth to ask more, but Dr. Bright cut me off before I could finish a word. "Anyway! Enough with the chit-chat!" She reached out, grabbing my wrist with surprising force and tugging me forward. "Come on"

She was dragging me down the hallway. "Wait-where are we going?" I managed, stumbling slightly as I tried to keep up.

She threw a grin over her shoulder, eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. "Patience, (Y/N)! You'll see soon enough. Let's just say we've got a little initiation planned for you."

My stomach churned. Initiation? What did she mean by that? I swallowed hard, trying to steady my nerves. "Should I be worried?" I asked, my voice barely steady.

Agent Mikell, who had been following quietly behind us, let out a soft chuckle. "Depends on your definition of 'worried.'" His tone was light, but there was something unsettling in his voice that I couldn't quite place.

As Dr. Bright pulled me along, I could feel my nerves prickling, hoping desperately that my ability to read minds would somehow kick in. If there was ever a time I needed insight, it was now.

I tried to focus, but my mind was racing faster than I could process. "Relax, (Y/N)! It's something that the O5 themselves wanted you to do," Dr. Bright called back over her shoulder, her voice practically bubbling with excitement.

The mention of the O5 caught my attention, and a heavy weight settled in my chest. Have I really caught the attention of the O5? The thought made my head spin. They were the ones who controlled everything, who manipulated the foundation's vast network of secrets. But did they know that I wasn't from here? That I wasn't supposed to be in this reality at all?

Dr. Bright's voice broke through my racing thoughts, though I couldn't quite process her words. "We're almost there," she said, still dragging me with that same eager pace, oblivious to the whirlwind in my mind. Mikell followed behind us, silent but with a knowing look in his eyes, as though he could sense my unease.

The corridor seemed to stretch on forever, the sterile walls closing in. My mind couldn't focus on the cold, unfeeling surroundings-everything was consumed by the thought of the O5. What do they want with me? I had no answers.

I tried to steady my breathing, to calm my frayed nerves. If the O5 had truly noticed me, there was no turning back. My reality, whatever it was, had already been twisted beyond recognition. But what did they expect from me? And why would Dr. Bright-someone so tied to this place-be so nonchalant about all of it?

"Are you okay?" Agent Mikell's voice cut through my thoughts, sounding far too casual for the gravity of the situation.

I blinked, momentarily startled. "I don't know anymore," I muttered, more to myself than to him. "What are they going to have me do?"

Dr. Bright's grin widened as we reached a normal looking metal door. She finally stopped, turning to face me with an almost predatory gleam in her eyes. "You'll see soon enough, (Y/N). Just trust me-it's not as bad as you're imagining."

The door swung open, revealing a room that looked deceptively normal, a sharp contrast to the chaotic thoughts swirling in my mind. It was a tidy, almost minimalist office, with shelves neatly lined with books and papers, all of it centered around a large wooden desk. Behind it sat Dr. Glass, his eyes fixed on some documents, his expression serious, as usual. Is this his office?

Dr. Bright stepped into the room first, practically glowing with excitement, her earlier mischievous grin still plastered on her face. "Dr. Glass!" she exclaimed with an exaggerated cheer.
