Manas: Ciel considered herself complete.

It wasn’t something she had ever given thought, nor has there ever been a reason for her to do so.

She resided within her master's soul, she supported him. And that was it.

Or so she liked to tell herself.

“Get out, Ciel.” Three words reached her perception from none other than Rimuru Tempest, the object of her loyalty and devotion.

Ciel, not quite able to understand what Rimuru meant, did the most logical thing.

“Get out? Of where?” She simply asked for clarification.

Rimuru, who had appeared in front of her within the boundless “confines” of the Imaginary Space, sighed in exasperation as he gazed at her.

“Look, it's been what? 10 years. And all you've been doing is scrolling through the Akashic records.”

The Manas was starting to grow annoyed at her master. This wasn't the first time he was raising this issue with her, and she wasn't pleased at having to shut him down over and over again.

The Akashic records were a collection of all information within creation. It was an infinitely growing repository of all that existed and didn't.

Ciel had been trying to accommodate the skill, in a bid to unlock the doors to True Omniscience.

Such an ability would significantly increase her ability to support her master.

“This is the 57th time you are bringing this up, master. And as I have said, I enjoy what I am doing. A hobby, if you will,” Ciel issued a rebuttal with all the sincerity of a block of wood.

Rimuru, who had long developed the ability to see past her efficient and unyielding facade, was not convinced in the least.

“While that might be true in a sense, you know that's not what I mean,” He too was getting annoyed with Ciel.

Of what use were the emotions she was developing if it all went to waste on such an endeavour?

Just as Ciel wanted the best for him, he desired the same for her.

He was very displeased with how little she seemed to include herself in those equations of hers.

“Master is free to believe what he wants. I am doing what pleases me, and I have no intentions of stopping,” Ciel, who had done this dance with Rimuru fifty-six times, knew exactly how to bring the bothersome interaction to an end.

Once again, Manas: Ciel considered herself complete. And it confused her that Rimuru did not feel the same.

“No intention of stopping huh…yeah I know. That's why I'm here in person,” Rimuru shot her a mischievous smile as he spoke those words.

This development was not within Ciel's calculations.

“What are you planning to do?” Growing slightly wary from the deviation from her expectations, she queried the smirking Rimuru.

“Well, I already told you to get out, didn't I? I'm simply here to kick you out personally,” Rimuru shrugged.

Alarm bells blared within Ciel's mind as she effortlessly realized what Rimuru was planning.

She tried to discard the Parallel Existence she was inhabiting and take refuge within Rimuru's soul, where he couldn't touch her, but she was too late.

Her main consciousness was effectively locked into this body.
