Saturday, the day of the trip to Davao City. Based on my research last night, Davao is very far from Manila. I thought the place is within Luzon but it can be found at Mindanao. That's very far, to be honest. But good thing we are boarding on a plane, estimated travel time is 2 hours.

The recreational activity will happen on a private resort with hotels and we will be staying there for a week. Plus, we will have a free breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 7 days. Pretty decent for five thousand pesos if you ask me.

I check my bag for one last time, securing everything. Baka kasi may nakalimutan akong dalhin. Mahirap na at baka mahirapan akong maghanap doon especially the things I need during the night.

So far, I have managed to secure everything. I have left our apartment, and since I am carrying a suitcase, I need to ride a pedicab to get to school. Also, the road is still not finished, which is why I need to take the longer route from my apartment to the campus and vice versa.

When I arrived at school, many students were already waiting for their respective buses. I didn't know where we were supposed to wait, so I decided to go to our building, hoping that my classmates might be there.

And as expected, they were all there waiting as well.

"'Di nga ako nagkamali. Kasama ka talaga."

Napalingon ako sa nagsalita and it was Fenrir.

Ngumiti lang ako sa kanya at itinuon ang atensyon sa harap.

"I heard may ibang school daw na kasama. Engineering department daw and they are merging with us," he added.

Speaking of that school, I wonder kung kasama siya. At 'di malabong hindi iyon mangyari since he's taking Civil Engineering as well.

It took 10-15 minutes na paghihintay bago isa-isang dumating ang bus na sasakyan namin papuntang airport.

When the bus arrived, my classmates eagerly rushed to board, while I deliberately chose to wait, preferring not to join the scramble. As a result, I found myself as the last person to step onto the bus.

Meron pa ba akong mauupuan?

I looked around inside and there really was no place for me to sit. I couldn't stand in the middle either because it was full of my classmates' luggage and other belongings.

Hala, how the hell am I going to sit right now?

"May mauupuan ka pa ba, Mr. de Mevius?"

Napalingon ako sa nagtanong and it was our adviser.

"W-wala na po, ma'am."

"Sige, baba ka muna riyan. Maghahanap muna ako ng bus na may space pa."

Bumaba naman ako and I patiently waited for around 5 minutes bago bumalik 'yung adviser namin.

"Bus No.15 has one extra seat available," she said while pointing at the bus na 'di kalayuan sa amin.

"Thank you, po," I said at kaagad na naglakad papunta sa bus na tinuro niya.

While walking, I started to have a little panic attack given the fact na hindi ko alam kung anong department 'yung makakasabay ko and most of all, wala ako ni isang kilala.

But, oh well, as if I have a choice. Maiiwan ako kapag mag-iinarte pa ako.

"Hi, Jesh!"

Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa akin. It was Clint and he was sitting inside the bus, near the bus window.
