Khai's POV
The chaos didn't stop.
Harold's team stormed the warehouse, gunfire erupting in every direction. Shadows moved swiftly through the maze of crates, their tactical gear blending into the dark.
"Move in! Secure the perimeter!"Harold barked, his voice sharp and commanding.
Lia's screams echoed in the distance as Harold's men closed in. I barely registered the sound.
My entire world had shrunk down to the man bleeding in my arms.
"Dad, stay with me, please..."*
Then, distant sirens wailed, growing louder with every second.
Red and blue lights flooded through the cracks of the warehouse.
The local police had arrived.
Officers swarmed the entrance, weapons drawn, voices cutting through the air.
"Drop your weapons! Hands in the air!"
Harold's men moved in sync with the police, overwhelming the remnants of Lia's team.
I heard Lia scream in frustration as officers wrestled her to the ground.
"Get off me! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!"
But it was over for her.
Mrs. Letty was slumped against the wall, groaning in pain, barely conscious from Harold's shot. Officers dragged her up, cuffing her hands behind her back.
"You're both under arrest," one officer growled.
But none of that mattered to me.
A moment later, the blaring of sirens was replaced by the screech of tires.
Paramedics.
They rushed in, weaving through the wreckage.
"We need a medic here! Now!" I screamed, my voice hoarse.
A paramedic dropped to his knees beside me, opening his medical kit.
"What's his condition?"
"He's been shot! At the back nearly penetrating his chest"
The paramedic's hands moved quickly, cutting away Dad's shirt, revealing the bloody wound.
"We're losing him! Prep the stretcher!"
Rain knelt beside me, tears in her eyes.
"He's going to be okay, Khai..." she whispered, but even she didn't sound convinced.
The paramedics lifted Dad onto the stretcher, working furiously to stabilize him.
I stood frozen, blood on my hands, my chest heaving.
Harold approached slowly, his face grim.
"We need to move out. This place isn't safe."
I barely heard him.
All I could see was Dad disappearing behind the paramedics as they rushed him to the ambulance.
"Please... don't die."
I didn't know if I was talking to him-or begging the universe.

Rain's POVI stood there, frozen, my entire body trembling. My mind was still spinning from everything that had just happened-the gunfire, the blood, Lucan collapsing in Khai's arms.
