Kaitlyn
It was September 3rd, Jason's been at my house for a month. His mom is staying at one of her friends house. Jason's dad was still in town. Don't know when he'll leave. Mom said that he could stay. Thankfully, the bullying has stopped. I was thankful.
It was Monday morning. School has gotten better, but the harsh words hurt. Jason hasn't said anything to me. I think I got my best friend back.
I was getting ready for school. I was listening to One direction 'What Makes you Beautiful'. I loved it. I also loved 'One Thing'.
While I was getting ready, there was a knock on my door. It was 7:20.
"Kaitlyn, come on. We have to go," Bianca said through the door.
"Hold on. Go make something to eat."
"I can't. Jason is in the kitchen."
"Of course he is," I muttered to myself.
I got done getting ready. I was wearing a black crop top with blue ripped jeans. I put on my Converse's and my leather jacket. I had just gotten done curling my hair. My hair is usually straight. Oh well.
I got to the kitchen to see Jason wearing he's usual clothes for school. He was wearing a white shirt with black jeans. He had his Nikes.
"Good morning, sunshine," he greeted.
"Good morning. Bianca said you wouldn't let her in the kitchen?"
"No. I said I wouldn't let her in if she didn't make sure you were up."
"She didn't mention that."
"Of course she didn't. She wants me to be the bad guy."
I chuckled. "Right, I suppose that you are the good guy in every story?"
"I wouldn't say that, but thank you."
I rolled my eyes. Jason has been driving Bianca and I to school. He said that he didn't want me to drive. I don't know why.
"I wouldn't say that either, but you said the you aren't the bad guy. What are you then?"
"Let's say I'm the little person on your shoulder."
I laughed at that.
"So the devil? The angel?"
"I'm both."
"You can't be both. You have to be one or the other."
"What if I don't want to be just one?" Jason looked hurt. I had a feeling we aren't talking about the shoulder thing anymore.
"Then what do you want?"
Before he had time to answer, Bianca came in the kitchen.
"Are y'all done yet? We're going to be late," Bianca said.
I looked away from Jason's blue eyes.
"Um, yeah. We're coming," I said, looking at Bianca instead of the boy that has known me since we were two. I could feel his eyes on me. Boring into my soul.
....
The school day was slow. It was third period and it felt like we've been here for five hours. When is Dad's class. His class is fun. I was expecting boring history books, but we get up and out of the class. Ever since Dad became a teacher here, the students loved him. They even started talking to me. But I think that has something to do with a certain blonde hair and blue eyed boy. Ever since he had to stay over, it's like they left me alone. I felt free.
