Kaitlyn
Tonight is the night. The night of prom. Everyone is so excited. Emily and Christie are coming over to get dress. Jackson and Isaiah asked them out last week. Apparently they liked them for a long time. Jackson likes Emily and Isaiah likes Christie.
Since Jason lives with us now; he's in Henry's room with Dad getting ready. Mom, Bianca, Emily, and Christie are in my room. This is the first time Emily and Christie came over.
"I'm still shocked that you're rich. You don't give a snotting impression," Emily said while we were getting ready.
"I'm not like that. I don't see why people do that," I stated.
Mom smiled at us. She got so excited when I said my friends were getting ready with me.
"This year has been weird. Starting with Jason threatening, then him staying over. Us breaking up and not talking. And now we're going to prom. I remember when he asked me to go to prom with him. It was the last football game of the season."
(FLASHBACK)
Bianca and I were at the last football game of the season to cheer for Jason. Jason and I got back together last week and I feel whole again. I didn't know what true love was until he came back in my life.
Bianca and I were sitting at the middle of the bleachers. It had a nice view of the game. But I wasn't watching the game, I was watching Jason. The Tigers as won by 48-39. Jason won the touchdown.
"Hello? Can everyone hear me?" Jason's voice rang from the crowd.
We all fell silent. Waiting for what he has to say.
"Hi everyone, y'all know me as the quarterback, the popular guy, the guy that made everyone hate this one girl. Well, I don't care what y'all label me as anymore. I used to think that labels were everything. They are-for some, but not me. This year was the greatest and the worst for all of us. We've each almost lost someone that we all love. And that was kinda my fault for not saying anything sooner.
Anyways, prom is in a couple of weeks, and I want to ask this certain girl if she wants to go with me. So, Kaitlyn Ruby McCarthy, will you do me the honor and go to prom with me?" He finished.
I was shocked. I couldn't speak. Then; all of the sudden, he was in front of me.
"Yes, yes I'll go with you," I answered.
He smiled and kissed me.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"I remember that. It was so cute. I can't believe he had the guts to do it," Bianca stated.
"I kno–"
"Hello, are y'all decent?" We heard from my bedroom door.
"No, we went to the pool earlier and we lost our clothes," mom said sarcastically.
Henry walked in.
"You don't have to have an attitude mom," he said.
"What are you doing, Henry?" I asked.
"Oh, Jason is ready and the guys are here," he said; then he left.
Emily, Christie, and I walked downstairs together with Mom and Bianca in front.
"Behold, the three girls that will beat y'all if they want." We heard Bianca say before we got on the last step.
The guys face's looked horrified. We laughed.
"Okay, pictures," mom said as she got her phone ready.
We rolled our eyes and got on the stairs. Jackson and Emily, Isaiah and Christie, and finally Jason and I at the front.
We posed multiple times until mom wanted one of just me and Jason.
"Y'all look so cute. My babies are all grown up." She started crying.
"Mom, it's okay. It's not like we're leaving."
"That's the thing, y'all will leave. And it'll break my heart to see y'all go."
"And when we go; we will visit. I promise." I gave her a hug. I love my mother so much that it will hurt the most when I leave for college.
After the pictures and mom crying; we when into the cars. Jason, Emily, Jackson, and I rode with Jason in his car. Christie and Isaiah followed us from behind since the car couldn't hold all of us.
Once we arrived at the school; we all took a breath. This is it. After today; we will officially be seniors.
"You guys ready?" Jackson asked. We all said yes.
The gym was loud. The music was blasting. Everyone was dancing or grinding of each other.
This is amazing.

After dancing for what felt like hours; the principal came on stage.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen," the principal-Mrs. Hendricks-said, "And welcome to tonight's junior and senior prom. I am so happy to see all of you here tonight."
"No she isn't. She just wants to have school over with," Christie said.
"Now, I'll announce the prom king and queen."
We all stood silent, waiting for Mrs. Hendricks to call the names.
"The prom king for this year is... Jason Wilde." Everyone clapped as Jason went up on stage. They put the sash and crown on his head.
"And now for the prom queen is none other than Kaitlyn McCarthy." I was shocked. I didn't know people voted for me.
I walked up on stage; people congratulating me on winning. Two years ago, these same people would have made fun of me. And now they're congratulating me for winning prom queen.
I got on stage. Jason was standing there, waiting for me. He has the brightest smile on his face. His blonde hair a mess on the top of his head.
They put the tiara and sash on me. I couldn't believe it. I was prom queen. And Jason was prom king.
After that we had the first slow dance of the night. It was amazing.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi."
"So, do I get a kiss or..." Jason said.
"I don't know. Do you?"
He chuckled and leaned into me. He kissed me slowly. It was amazing. Then he pulled away.
"Whoa. Umm, that was..." He took a breath. I laughed.
"You ready to go home?" I asked.
"Yeah."
After we found our friends; we left.
