Kaitlyn

I was in my room with Jason. He decided to barge in here without knocking, so now we're having a little argument.

"Jason, I told you before anything happened; never barge in my room without my say-so. I don't even know why you think that is acceptable. I mean, what if I was changing? What if I just got out of the shower?"

"What do you expect of me. You were in the hospital last week. Kaitlyn, I don't want you alone. I don't want to knock because what happens when I knock and you don't answer? What happens if you die and I don't barge in? Look; I'm sorry. But I'm scared okay. I don't know if I can leave you."

I hate to admit it, but he makes sense.

"Fine, you're right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I scared you half to death. I'm sorry that I almost killed myself. I promise if I ever feel like that again; I'll talk to someone."

"All I'm saying is that please, oh please tell me if you ever feel like that again. I don't want to lose you."

"You won't lose me. Not anymore."

~~~~~
"Okay class, I know school's almost over, but you still need to work. So, with that in mind I want you all to turn to your partner and think of something from the 1800s," Dad told us.
I turn to Jason. He was smiling at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh nothing. Just thinking about who's house you want to work at. Yours or mine?"
"Have you been waiting to say that?"
"Believe it or not, yes I have. We lived together ever since August, and now I am back home. Now I can actually say it."
"Fine, let's do yours. I want to see Melissa anyways."
Jason smiled like he just won the lottery. The boy will be the death of me someday.
~~~~~
"So in the 1800s what happened? I don't know nothing about history." Jason commented.

"Didn't the presidents sign to declaration of Independence? I mean, that's true right?"

We were in Jason's room of his and Melissa's house. Jason's walls were still blue from when he was little. We used to come up to his room so much that it was basically our own house.

"I don't know. Anyways, why are we doing this again? I mean it's almost the end of the year and your dad wants us to work? Is he delusional?"

"Yes he is."

Just then, Melissa walked in with a tray.

"Guys, I brought you a snack. How is everything going?" Melissa asked.

"Fine. What'd you bring?" Jason asked. I rolled my eyes.

Melissa rolled her eyes at her son.

"Jason, that's not nice," I said to him. He pouted.

"Fine. We are great mother, how are you?"

"That's sarcasm, Jason." I rolled my eyes. So did Melissa.

"How do you put up with him?" She asked me.

"I didn't talk to him for months. That's how."

Jason gasped, "I told you what actually happened. Why do you bring it up?"

"She asked. I answered."

~~~~~
School's going to be over in half of a month. That terrifies me. I won't be a Junior anymore. Well that's if I has the exams.
It is April 28th, which means May is on Thursday. I will miss this year. I mean except with everything that recently happened. Including not talking to Jason for months, but besides all of that; I'll miss it. I actually made friends. I have a boyfriend. And honestly, this year went by so flippin fast.
I was in my first period. Talking to Emily and Jason.
"What are y'all going to do for summer?" Emily asked. Knowing Jason and I will be together all summer.
"Probably sleeping. Or going to mine to swim," Jason replied.
"I didn't know you and a swimming pool?" Emily looked at him with confusion.
"You didn't? I thought everyone did. They all know my mom is loaded."
Emily's jaw dropped. "I didn't. You mean, you're rich. You don't live like it. I mean, it someone pays attention to how you dress; sure, but you're rich," she clarified.
Jason and I looked at each other. That's why we don't tell people.
"So you didn't know we are rich? That makes sense."
"Wait, we? As in you and Kaitlyn?"
"Yes. My parents own the McCarthy Enterprise downtown. You know, the law firm?"
"Your parents are lawyers? Then why is Mr. McCarthy a teacher at a high school?"
"Because he has a teaching degree and he took the bar exam?" I said it like a question.
"How come you don't live in a mansion?"
"Have you seen her house? Emily, she lives in a rich neighborhood. Her house is a mansion." Jason told her.
"I told you said you live in a house like everyone else?"
"I do. It's just bigger," I stated.
"Well, everything I thought I knew was a lie," Emily said dramaticly.
I shake my head.
~~~~~

Jason

It's Thursday, the first of May. Our exams are coming up, and then off to summer. I don't like summer. Well, I don't like anything really. The only good thing that happened was Kaitlyn and I getting together.

I feel like I won. Not like I won and now I'm going to break up with her, but it feels like with everything that had happened this year; we can finally be together.

Let's face it; I had loved Kaitlyn since sixth grade. I like her in elementary. How could you not? She's amazing.

"Hey, are you okay?" Kaitlyn asked, pulling me away from my thoughts.

I smiled. With everything that happened, I thought she wouldn't want to be with me. But I'm here, beside her. No one else.

"I'm perfect."

A/N

So, this book is fixing to be over with and let's just say that I'm literally crying. I think this book shows a lot of us in one way or another. Whether we go through mental abuse from home or school. It just goes to show that it doesn't matter if the person you love is the one that has been there all a long. It doesn't matter if you hated that person. It matters if you fight for what you both want. That's why I love writing.

Anyways, please vote and comment on this. I hope y'all are having a wonderful day.
