The blaring alarm echoed through the hallways of MACUSA as Tina, Davina, and Newt ran, their footsteps pounding against the stone floors as they tried to escape as quickly as possible.

A flash of bright light shot toward them. In a split second, Newt grabbed Davina's hand and yanked her behind a pillar, shielding her from the curse. Tina peered out from behind cover, spotting several Aurors advancing toward them.

Without hesitation, Newt whipped out his Swooping Evil, sending it in the direction of the approaching guards.

Loud grunts echoed in the hall as the Aurors fell to the ground, one of them writhing as the creature perched on his chest, its saliva dripping onto his face.

"Leave his brains. Come on!" Newt called out to his creature, unaware of Davina's disgusted look as he pulled the two women further down the corridor. His Swooping Evil continued to shield them, swooping in front of incoming spells.

"What is that thing?" Tina gasped, breathless from the run, struggling to keep up with Davina, who, despite her shorter legs, was far faster than anyone expected.

"Swooping Evil," Newt answered casually, his gaze fixed ahead as he tried to recall the way they came.

"Well, I love it!" Tina breathed, still thinking back to the way Newt's creature had incapacitated the guards.

Davina shot Tina an incredulous look. "You're the only one who seemed to enjoy that situation," she muttered, catching sight of a familiar staircase leading to the building's exit.

Suddenly, a familiar voice called out from another hallway.

"Queenie!" Davina exhaled, relief flooding her as she saw the case in Queenie's hand. Newt's shoulders visibly relaxed as well, clearly comforted by the sight of his case safe and sound. Davina's gaze shifted from Queenie to another familiar face next to her.

"Mr. Kowalski," Tina said, a sad smile tugging at her lips, grateful that the man hadn't been obliviated.

Queenie, her sharp senses picking up the sound of approaching footsteps, glanced up and immediately commanded, "Get in," as she swiftly opened the case.

Davina let out a deep breath—they were safe, at least for the moment. She had no doubt Queenie could get them out of here unnoticed.
