Chapter VII

"I'm not though." She smiled.

"I know that." She then hold my hand. "Let's go to them."

"What?!"

"They were already watching us since we got here. I can tell they're just respecting our space."

"Let's respect theirs too-- yaaah!" She just drag on the way to the group.

I look back at our managers and they look at us amused.

"Hi!" She greeted them.

"Oh My God! Hi!" This time they're squealing.

"You're so pretty!" I got flustered when I realized that was for me.

"Thank you." I bowed.

I've never really interacted like this to fans. No, I've never held a fansign event.  Even just doing interviews, I seldom do it, I do it only to promote. I don't want to get ask questions, specially about my private life, and they tend to look deeper at every thing. I just have so many secrets to hide and that I think is the better thing to do.

"Hyun." I look up to Seulgi.

"Hmm?"

"She asks for an autograph." I face them and they are waiting for me to sign. I smile and give them what they want.

"We didn't know you two are friends." Seulgi and I look at each other.

"How long have you been friends?" Another followed up.

"Was it at the award show?" And another.

"No, they seemed close already that time." 

"Aah..." what am I even suppose to say? Should I lie? Should I tell them the truth?

"I think that's for us to keep." Seulgi answered, sweetly at them. She must be used to this already. "Also... can I ask for a favor?"

"Yes!"

"Of course!"

"What is it?"

"I saw you guys took photos of us earlier..." they went silent and pause. "I'm not going to ask you to delete it. I would just like to ask you to not post it yet." Oh this is why we're here.

"Oh. Okay!" They assured her.

"You can post it later on of you want. Just not soon." She said. "Thank you. We'll go now." She then bowed to them before pulling me again.

I just wave them goodbye and they're all smiling looking at us walk away.

"How did it go?" Her manager asks as soon as we get to them.

"I think it worked." Seulgi said.

"Do you usually do this?" My manager asks. "Don't you think it's a bit risky?"

"Tell Seulgi that. She never listens." Seulgi tried to stop her manager from talking but she already blurted that out.

She face me, knowing I didn't like what I heard. I'm protective of her and I know she knows that.

"Unnie! There's a souvenir shop there! Didn't you say you want go to one?" Seulgi said, trying to divert the topic to a different direction.

To her luck, both our managers listens. I eyed her and she just smiled at me.

We went to the said shop and when we were about to enter she pulled me by the hand.

"Unnie, I want to take a phot with Joohyunie in that photobooth. We'll just follow you two." She pointed at a real photobooth next to the shop, we were just about to enter.

"Okay. Follow us when you're done." Seulgi nodded.

The two entered the shop. I remove my hand from Seulgi's hold and face her.

"Hehe. It's not all the time I do it. I promise, I'm careful with people I talk to." She said.

"Promise me, you won't do it again." It's not that I don't want her near her fans. I just want her to be careful in initiating an interaction.

"I won't." She then reach for my hand again and pulled me to the photobooth.

We took photos and between that she spoke that made me look at her instead of the camera.

"You okay with riding a dinner cruise, Hyun?" A flash went on. "I booked a reservation for us two." She face me. "It's time to sneak out, so that I can have you to myself already." I smiled at her.

"It's like you're asking me out on a date." She's getting brave.

"Well, I stayed. It means this is a date." She said. I then remember what I said to her this morning. "Let's put that what if into work and call this a date..." she smiled. "a friendly one." GOD!

I can only sigh at the last thing she said. At least there's progress, but HELL! KANG SEULGI!
