When Zhou Zhao followed Zhu Yu into the isolation ward, he was still a bit nervous, repeatedly asking, "Director Zhu, is it really okay for Banban to meet me?"

Zhu Yu nodded again, "Yes, Banban is a good tiger."

Banban, being an understanding tiger, agreed when Zhu Yu told it that two people were needed to help bathe it.

Banban thought it was simple-having two people clean it would definitely be more thorough than just one person.

It looked down at its paw, scratched the ground a little, and sniffed it, seemingly aware of the smell. It had been injured and couldn't bathe in the river by itself.

In fact, when Banban was in the wild, it was a very clean tiger. Although it had a lazy personality, it didn't slack off when it came to personal hygiene.

When Zhou Zhao entered, he felt both excited and fearful. Even though he was wearing protective gear, he was facing a tiger that was not confined.

But as soon as he actually saw Banban, the fear in his heart vanished.

Banban's hind half was still inside the cage, while its front half was lying outside. When it heard the door open, it lazily glanced at them, then looked away, completely uninterested.

Zhou Zhao subconsciously looked at Zhu Yu, his face filled with indescribable joy: "Director Zhu!"

Banban really wasn't afraid of people anymore! When it saw them enter, it didn't show signs of stress, didn't roar, and didn't hit the cage.

Zhu Yu said, "Shh, let's be quiet so we don't disturb it."

Zhou Zhao quickly nodded.

The two of them brought the water bucket to the cage. Zhou Zhao was still a little lost. Even though he had volunteered to help, he had no experience with dealing with a tiger that had just been rescued from the wild, was awake, and wasn't confined. Let alone bathing it.

Wild tigers are extremely ferocious; a single swipe could crush bones. Even with artificially bred adult tigers in zoos, keepers still had to be cautious when interacting with them.

Seeing that Zhu Yu was already sitting on a small stool, wetting the towel, and draping it over Banban's head, just covering one of its eyes, Zhou Zhao was immediately startled. He wanted to tell her not to cover a tiger's eyes, as it could easily lose its sense of security and become aggressive.

Sure enough, Banban shook its head and flung the towel off, roaring at Zhu Yu with an intimidating expression.

Zhu Yu didn't even furrow her brows. She picked up the towel and threatened, "Do you still want to wash your face? Do you know your fur is all tangled up? You're not clean."

Banban stared at her as if it was angry.

Zhu Yu draped the towel over Banban's head again. Banban gently shook its head, making an ambiguous sound in its throat.

Zhu Yu comforted, "Alright, don't move. After your bath, you'll be a clean tiger."

Banban made a noise and reluctantly placed its head on its front paws.

Zhu Yu then took a comb and carefully untangled the wet fur, bit by bit. Banban still wasn't used to being cared for by others. It had always lived independently, and its head kept shaking, but it would obediently rest on its paws again.

Zhou Zhao watched as Zhu Yu struggled to untangle a knot of fur. His hands were trembling as he adjusted his glasses to steady himself.

"Director Zhu, is this really how we bathe Banban?" he asked.
