They hadn't noticed me.
Yet.
As I sat, knees tucked up to my chest, against the window in the corner, outside seemed so peaceful. The Ninja were awake, talking about whatever. No one had spoken to me since. I wasn't surprised.
A monster.
A monster is what I am.
Why would they anyway?
I hadn't slept since the night before and I wasn't getting any sleep soon. I've always had an odd sleep schedule. Mainly from having so many forms that either slept through the day or the night. I wasn't tired anyway.
Symbols crashed against each other and the lights flickered on. None of Chen's servants questioned the fact I wasn't sleeping. They all knew of the crazy way my body functioned. One of them began putting on rollerskates on my feet and I didn't question it either. One of Chen's stupid stunts.
"Good morning fighters!" Clouse announced, his hands behind his back like always. "Oh that's right, it's the middle of the night!" Well duh. Once mine was properly tied on, I stood up without much effort.
Father had made Skylor and I take lessons on roller skating, ice skating, dancing and even singing. My sister never enjoyed them but I loved to dance and sing. She excelled in martial arts and other sports that required physical training.
I skated over to Skylor.
"Did you get any sleep at all?" I shook my head and she nodded knowingly.
Kai skated over to us and fell over with a loud thud. My sister helped him up and I couldn't help but giggle at their flustered faces.
"Master Chen wants everyone in the royal arena. I wouldn't be late if I were you." What does Father want now???
"If most of us have already fought, why are we all in skates?" My sister asked as we skated over to Clouse.
"Only two of you will be fighting, but the rest of you will have a chance to affect the outcome."
"Who's fighting? Tell us now," the Master of Speed said. Clouse began walking backwards as he beckoned the servants out into the hallways.
"The Green Ninja and the Master of Form." And the doors swung shut. There were whispers about this mysterious master.
"Master of Form? Who's that?" Lloyd asked Porcupine.
"You haven't heard? I hear she can look like anyone. She could be right under your nose and by the time you've figured it out, she's already discovered all your weaknesses. Then it's game over but you're the Green Ninja. What weaknesses can you have?" Since when could Porcupine skate? Lloyd groaned and stretched his back.
"Aside from a sore back, not many."
"Thanks." And 'Kai' skated away. I saw Jay skating around and yelling in joy like a child. Was he some man-child?
"Skates, why did it have to be skates?" The real Porcupine mumbled as he wobbled over to Lloyd and he fell in front of me. Lloyd jumped,
"Kai?!?" Lloyd looked over at 'Kai' who was now laughing in a feminine voice.
"Watch your back, Green Ninja." The Master of Form walked away, changing into her original form.
"Let's go," I said, mainly to myself but to the three others left in the room as I skated out of the room.

We all skated through a dark tunnel before going up a ramp and into the arena.
