With The Ninja

Everyone cheered as the blimp began to deflate.

"Sink the ferry, no one's getting off this island!" Jay told the master of nature and the ferry sank into the water. Cole approached the others, Luna trailing behind.

"The place and sleeping quarters are all clear but I found Taylor's wolf. No sign of Chen and Clouse," Cole said.

"What about Skylor?" Kai asked desperately.

"And Taylor," Lloyd added.

"They weren't able to pick their family, but they were able to pick their friends. And since you two are their friends, that means so are we. We'll find them," Jay said, trying to reassure the two as Luna whined and her tail drooped in between her legs. Cole looked at the wolf with sympathy before speaking again,

"He's right. With no way off the island, it'll only be a matter of time."

Taylor

"I have to admit it, but maybe Chen losing his army wasn't such a bad thing," one of the guards said.

"I know, I was thinking the same thing!"

"Look at us. We're in his inner circle! And he trusts us to guard his daughters." The first one gasped and I could hear my sister growling in annoyance. My eyes were half open and I hadn't slept in ages but standing up while in chains wasn't the most comfortable position. A piercing headache throbbed in my head and it felt like Chen had half drained my powers. I just wanted to curl up and sleep and when I woke up this whole mess was just a dream. I wanted to throw up.

I heard the shaking of chains.

"I have to scratch my face." A few seconds later she thanked them. I groaned when another headache rippled through my head. I still was recovering from earlier.

A few hours later, a new pair of footsteps approached us. I opened my eyes and slowly brought them up to meet my father's eyes.

"Free them!"

"But Master, they both still have their powers."

"And I still have the power to stuff you in a fortune cookie. Skylor, Taylor how dare they tie you up. I blame myself for your slip in judgement."

"It wasn't a slip in judgement." Skylor corrected him.

"The Ninja were right," I said hoarsely as I rubbed my wrists, the nausea and headaches disappearing. Odd.

"And I was wrong. Wrong to steal their powers. Wrong to want to transform myself into a snake. Wrong because you two needed a father and I wasn't there."

"What happened to our mothers?" I asked, eyeing my father.

"Skylor's mother, Scarlet, died in childbirth. Your mother, however, I killed." I gasped. "She never actually loved me, you know, wanted to take care of her sister's child. She knew of my plan for the serpentine war. Didn't want her niece growing up with me. Charity was a pretty little thing. I couldn't resist." I gagged.

"Ew. TMI. Too much. Too much." I mumbled.

"Quiet, I'm not finished." Chen snapped, "After she had you, she took the both of you and tried to escape. I killed her when I found out she knew about my plans to take over Ninjago."

"So you lied to both of us and then you think my powers can still turn you into Anacondrai?"

"You have absorbed the powers of every elemental fighter," Clouse said. When did he get here?
