"I thought saving Ninjago was difficult, try starting a small business," Nya remarked as I handed her another box of tea. Unfortunately, I was ordered to do small jobs unless it was training as apparently there is still a chance of my body weakening again.
"Wu can't be a sensei forever," Misako said as Nya climbed down the ladder. "It's about time we all help out with his retirement."
"I have no idea how that old man is still alive." I laughed and Nya smiled. The girl had warmed up to me in the last few months I had begun training with the Ninja. It was nice to talk to another girl my age freely. Skylor always had her opinions and always did what she was told but I always found myself questioning, why?
"Speaking of which," Misako started as Master Wu walked in with a bucket of water.
"Oh, here." Nya walked over and tried to help him by grabbing the bucket. "Let me give you a hand with that." Master Wu flipped the bucket over his head with ease. How did the water not fall out? What sorcery is this?
"I'm old, not weak." I snickered and Nya glared at me. I shrugged as Master Wu put the bucket of water onto the cashier counter.
"You look after ninja, I look after you," Misako told the old man.
"She's right you know," I said and Master Wu just gave us surprised looks.
"Well, Steep Wisdom is starting to look like a real tea house. Except for one thing; customers." Nya commented.
"Good things come to those who wait," Wu replied.
"Heh, what about all those impatient people such as myself?" I asked but nobody heard me over the sound of the Ninja returning.
"Oh, who am I kidding. I'm tired of waiting." Master Wu grabbed a box. "I'll put the Ninja to work." He walked outside and began talking to them.
"Ninja, we need to find customers."
"No 'Hello, how's it going? Glad to hear you saved the day. Again.'" Jay asked, his dragon disappearing.
"Yeah, Sensei. We're all a bit tired. You mind if we handle this tomorrow?" Cole asked and I rolled my eyes at their laziness. The rest of the Ninja hop off their dragons and make them disappear.
"We all have a share, if this business is to succeed how else do you expect I will be able to afford all your new uniforms. Which reminds me, your new ones have arrived." Master Wu said as he put down the box to open it. The Ninja began asking questions excitedly over each other.
"They seriously just got new ones." I rolled my eyes and stood next to Nya.
"Boys will be boys." I looked down at my own new gi. It was pretty much the same as the boy's, but mine was purple and black and had more feminine features.
Sensei Wu held up their new Steep Wisdom uniforms and their faces fell instantly.
"Um, those do not appear to be ninja uniforms. They resemble work attire."
"Well duh," I mumbled and Nya laughed.
"Very observant Zane. We must focus on furthering brand awareness and here are the flyers I want each of you to pass out in the city."
"Ugh, if I have to pass all these out, I may be the one passed out," Jay exclaimed.
"Sensei, how come Taylor doesn't have to help us?" Cole asked as he glanced at me.
"I'm beginning to ease her into more training. That is her priority." Sensei Wu replied and Cole groaned. The phone rang and I turned around to look at Misako who was reaching for it.
