I needed this, Arian thought as her eyes closed. Of all the information that could have been received at the meeting it had to be the Warzone Pack. A pack that the female alpha was tired of hearing about. It was a pack that ruined her life, the reason for her mothers' death.
I needed this so bad, she thought again as she groaned away the pain. It was not often that she let men cause her pain, but her mate pounding into her relentlessly was an exception. She tried to force away the thoughts of war as her mate laid above her, move rhythmically in and out of her. No more bad thoughts, she wished it away as she flipped her mate onto the bed.
She climbed on top and slammed herself all the way down, moaning at the feeling. This was something that she wanted to do everyday. Life would be easier for her if she could be a simple mated wolf, but then again, life could never be simple.
It wasn't too long before the mated pair came undone; Brian smiled lazily at his mate as she laid back staring into the abyss that was a white ceiling.
The fan on the ceiling spun slowly as the pair laid down, it was barely six in the morning, not an unusual time for the pair to rise, but too early to begin any meetings. Arian wondered how Alpha Rush spent his night. He not only learned that his mate was alive again, but that she could be killed once again by her own mother. She could imagine sleep didn't come easy to him nor the other alphas.
Battling those of Lycan blood was not something Arian wished to do in this lifetime, maybe in her younger years when she felt the need to show off...well, there was a slight excitement still within the she wolf. To truly battle a lycan and not just any, but the daughter to the Warzone Alpha.
Perhaps...
It was noon when the female alpha began to bathe and ready for the day. Today the alphas would have a meeting over lunch. She dressed in all black, something about their current situation told Arian that darker clothing would be best.
The dining room was silent as she descended the stairs and into the room. Only five people were seated, odd.
The large dining table she saw last night was now replaced by a smaller, rectangular 6-seated table.
Alpha Rush, Alpha Kreed, Luna Violet, Amala, and a new face all sat; all eyes shot to Arian as she reached the table, "What's this thing doing here", her tone condescending as her red-painted nail pointed at the newcomer.
The man simply smiled, "This thing could kill you before you blink"
Arian returned the smile, "unlikely" She pulled the chair out and sat down slowly, keeping her focus on the man seated in front of her. "You reek of swamp, Goblin"
"Only for you, pet"
Her skin crawled as he spat the nickname out; she knew this looked like a simple squabble of two predators meeting for the first time, however, it was anything but.
She could see the longing in his eyes, green eyes she used to stare into.
She hadn't the clue why they would bring him here, Goblins didn't regard themselves with wolf business, and neither did vampires. It did beg the question as to why both were here.
Arian couldn't believe her luck, when did vampires, wolves, and goblins become allies?
My papa would be rolling in his grave...
