Yusuf led Newt and Jacob through winding alleys, the city's noise gradually fading into the background.

They reached a stone staircase, descending into a dark, underground system. The air was damp, and the faint sound of dripping water echoed off the walls.

Newt and Jacob followed Yusuf through an opening in the stone, down another flight of stairs that creaked underfoot. The air grew colder, and the dim lighting barely illuminated the path ahead.

Jacob cleared his throat, his breath catching when they reached a small, dingy room. There, lying on the stone-cold floor, was Tina.

A small bed sat behind her, cluttered with scattered papers, and a desk barely visible under the dim light. In the middle of the room, a small sewer flooded, water spilling over the edges.

Tina shot up, her eyes wide as she quickly brushed the dirt off her leather coat.

"Newt," she breathed, her voice a mix of relief and surprise.

"Expelliarmus!" Yusuf whispered from behind them, and suddenly, thick iron bars appeared, trapping them in the cold, watery sewer.

"No!" Newt shouted, eyes widening as barrels formed behind them, blocking their only escape.

"My apologies, Mr. Scamander," Yusuf said coolly, as Tina and Jacob banged their hands against the bars in panic.

"I shall turn and release you once Credence is dead," Yusuf added, his voice calm but chilling as he watched them struggle.

"Kama, wait!" Tina called out, stepping forward, but Yusuf didn't budge.

"You see," he continued, "either he dies... or I do."

Before anyone could respond, the man failed to notice the small brunette who had quietly appeared behind him, emerging from a shadowed corner.

"How about none of us die?" she asked sarcastically, a small smile on her face as she pulled out her wand. But before she could speak the incantation, Yusuf crumpled to the ground with a loud thud, clutching his eye in pain.

"Normally, they do that after a spell is cast," Davina said dryly, now fully visible to the three prisoners as she looked down at Yusuf, who was sprawled on the floor, groaning.

"What did you do?" Tina hissed from behind the bars, her voice tense with confusion.

"I didn't do anything," Davina replied with a shrug, holding up her hands in surrender.

Newt's eyes widened when he caught sight of the brunette. His heart skipped a beat as their gazes met—her bright green eyes locking with his blue ones.

"Hey, Newt," she waved at him casually, offering a small smile. But Newt stood frozen, too stunned by her sudden appearance to say a word.

In that moment, she looked even more beautiful than he remembered. Her wavy brown hair had grown longer, and she wore a new grey coat that hugged her figure, but it was the same yellow hair bow that caught his attention, just as it had the last time they met.

Feeling a little uncomfortable under his gaze, Davina quickly looked away from Newt and turned her attention to Jacob.

"You're on the team again?" she asked with a bright smile, her tone light and teasing.

Jacob returned the smile, stepping closer to the bars. "I knew Newt would need someone with a bit more... intelligence to balance out all the magic," he said with a chuckle, earning a soft laugh from Davina as she raised her wand toward the prison door.

Before she could cast a spell, the door creaked open on its own. A joyful squeak sounded from the handle, and everyone turned to see Pickett hanging from the lock, grinning widely at Davina.

"Well, I guess Pickett was faster," Jacob said, his smile growing as he watched the small creature. Tina, however, wasted no time, rushing past him to crouch down beside Yusuf's unconscious body.

Davina extended her arm, and Pickett happily hopped onto it. She leaned down to join Tina, examining Yusuf's condition as Newt crouched next to her, avoiding her curious gaze.

"So, you say you need this man?" Newt asked, looking up at Tina, his voice gentle but probing.

"Yeah," Tina replied, exhaling as she met his gaze. "I think he knows where Credence is, Mr. Scamander."

Newt nodded, then Tina turned to Davina, her curiosity piqued. "Any luck with your search?"

Davina let out a loud huff, her frustration evident. "Grindelwald vanished off the face of the Earth. No leads. Not a single clue about where he's gone," she said, pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperation.

Newt listened closely, absorbing every word as he kept his focus on Yusuf's unconscious form.

A sudden loud roar from above shattered the quiet tension, instantly drawing everyone's attention. The sound was deafening, and it echoed down into the sewer, making the four of them fall silent, the air thick with anticipation.
