It felt like time had stopped, only for a few moments the smell of lavender filled my nose before I pulled myself away not giving Shadow much time to react. 'I cannot believe I just did that, we've known each other for maybe two hours'

I slowly keep stepping away from him, gripping the sides of my head trying to wrap my brain around the situation. Shadow on the other hand stood ever so still his hands hovering over where I was as if he was going to hug me back.

He quickly pulled his hands to his sides, watching as I stepped back slowly inching closer to the portal, and before I knew it there was a flash of light, "Y/N!!" His firm voice commands, gripping my arm and attempting to pull back. 

"Sonic?" Suddenly the light got brighter and brighter I could see him though, he was creating prism energy like no other, running so quickly in what seemed to be a circular device. 

Shadow manages to pull me back, allowing us both to step back, Shadow slowly approaches yelling to Sonic. "Sonic! It's broken it's all broken!" There was a slight panic in his voice. "Shadow?!" The blue blur replies with a tired and confused voice. 

"Who is that Sha-" Sonic attempts to spit out and then he becomes more of a static mess. Shadow balls his fists up rather quickly, frustration setting in full and he watches the rainbow luminescent light grow larger and larger.

"Shadow- I think it's going to" Panic sets in my voice as I get up rather quickly trying to pull myself away from the gateway, Shadow instead takes a step closer, that was until.

BOOM.

The rainbow lights fly all around as Shadow and I are thrown across space right back towards the yellow shatter space. Shadow who caught himself using his air shoes noticed me attempting to control one of the rocks so I could safely land. 

I try to stabilize myself in the air my powers flicker from one rock to the next 'C'mon c'mon work with me here' I clench my teeth as I watch Shadow roll into a ball and knock a rock right into me.

"Ugh!" The solid land allows me to stand up, rubbing my arm slightly from the pain, watching as Shadow landed at the yellow gateway. 

I glide towards him, jumping down to meet his firm gaze. "Why didn't you just spin dash." His voice is full of annoyance. "Spin dash? Is that what you had done?" I put my finger to my chin, I had never seen or heard of such a thing.

"Really? You're saying you've never done that before." He scoffs ever so slightly. 

"Can't say I have, again it has been a while since I have seen another mobian." I put my hand on my hip and give an unimpressed glare back.

"It's simple even a toddler could figure it out."

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"However you want to take it, I don't care. But I can't keep saving you, I thought you were some all-powerful guardian." He smirks

"Instead of being rude and condescending how about you just show me HOW?" I roll my eyes.

"Alright fine." He grabs a hold of me quickly tucking my head "Like this, and then-" He throws me while I'm all rolled up, quickly I speed up similar to how Shadow had done it I bounce off a couple of rocks before land in front of him, slightly dizzy but composed. 

"You didn't have to fuckin' throw me!" My face flushes red and Shadow lets out a soft chuckle, "You learned didn't you?"

I raise my finger to argue but not long after it falls back down at my side. "Fine. Thanks."
