♤♡♢♧ Days passed.
Kuzuryu and Mira wasted no time proving their worth. It became evident that they weren't just survivors—they were strategists, capable of shaping the Beach into something far more structured than its current state. And so, at the next executive meeting, they presented their idea.
Aguni should lead a separate division—one responsible for maintaining order and enforcing the Beach's rules. A small group of people who could handle weapons. People who could handle other people when necessary. Those who could give orders... and, if required, force others into the games.
The proposal was met with immediate reactions.
Seina leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, her displeasure plain on her face. Ann, seated across from her, mirrored the sentiment, her sharp gaze cutting through the room like a scalpel. But in the grand scheme of things, neither of their opinions truly mattered.
The moment the suggestion left Kuzuryu's lips, Seina caught the shift in Hatter's demeanor. His usual laid-back grin remained, but there was something new in his eyes—a glint that hadn't been there before. A darkness that flickered just beneath the surface.
Seina had seen that look before. It was the look of someone who was beginning to taste power. And liking it far too much. She exhaled slowly, resisting the urge to glance at Aguni. He hadn't reacted outwardly, but she knew him well enough to sense the weight of the decision settling on his shoulders.
The meeting continued, voices blending into background noise as Hatter leaned forward, his fingers tapping against the table in thought. Seina barely registered the rest of the discussion. The moment the meeting ended, she was already moving.

She caught up with Chishiya in the hallway, her pace quick, her expression unreadable. He barely spared her a glance, hands tucked into his pockets, his usual air of indifference firmly in place.
Seina, of course, wasn't buying it.
"So?" she asked, falling into step beside him. "Thoughts?"
Chishiya tilted his head slightly, as if considering whether the question was even worth answering.
Then, finally, he sighed. "I'll give it a month."
Seina frowned. "A month for what?"
Chishiya's lips curled into something resembling amusement. "Before this place burns to the ground."
Seina raised an eyebrow. "You sound awfully certain."
He stopped walking, finally turning to face her fully. "You saw Hatter's face in there, didn't you?"
