For a moment, they just stood there, the city humming quietly beneath them, the night air cool against their skin.
It was the kind of moment Seina never let herself to have.
Too quiet, too steady, too real.
But now, she wasn't moving away.

"So what now?" she asked, her voice light, teasing, but there was something beneath it. Something honest.

Chishiya watched her, his expression unreadable. Then, after a beat, he lifted a hand, brushing his fingers against the side of her face in a way that was almost absentminded, almost careful.

"Now," he murmured, "you tell me."

And Seina didn't have an immediate answer.
Seina blinked up at him, her usual quick-wittedness faltering for just a second.
A dangerous second.

"Hmmm." She exhaled sharply, tilting her head. "Look at you, throwing my own words back at me. That's low, even for you."

Chishiya just smiled in response, but his fingers lingered at her cheek, barely there, like he wasn't sure if he should be touching her at all. Seina wasn't making it easier, she didn't pull away, didn't smirk like she usually would when backed into a corner. Instead, she searched his face, as if trying to decide what the hell was happening here.

For once, she was out of reckless words and sarcastic comebacks. For once, she felt still.

"Well?" he prompted, voice as calm as ever, but there was something in his gaze, something that told her he wasn't just playing around. "Are you going to give me an answer or just keep staring at me like that?"

Seina scoffed, finally snapping out of whatever the hell that was. "Oh, sorry. Was just wondering if you always look this unbearably smug after kissing someone or if I should feel special."

Chishiya's lips curled into the barest hint of a smirk. "You should always feel special."

Seina stared at him for a long second, then huffed a laugh. "God, I hate you."

"Good." His fingers brushed her face one last time before he pulled away, leaving her skin colder than she wanted to admit. "If that helps you sleep at night."

Seina rolled her eyes but reached for his wrist before he could step too far back, holding him just for a second longer.

"Just to be clear," she said, "I'm still me, and you're still you, and this doesn't mean I'm suddenly gonna start acting all... I don't know, responsible or... or whatever."

Chishiya arched a brow. "I'd be more concerned if you did."

Seina grinned. "Good. Then I don't have to feel bad about doing this."
