(Apologies for taking awhile to continue this story, I have another one I'm working on I haven't published yet, and I also rewrite the past 12 chapters making them more detailed. Chapters and other stories should be coming quicker now, leave a comment or message me if there's a specific story you want me to write, always taking ideas!)
My feet pound against the pavement, my heart still hammering in my chest as I race back to the dorms. The training field seems miles away as I make my way down the winding path, my thoughts in chaos. Aizawa. His eyes. The way he felt beneath me. I can't shake the image, and my face flushes again as the memory plays over and over in my mind.By the time I reach the dorms, my breath is shallow, my chest tight from the run and the anxiety creeping up in waves. I dart past the common area, barely registering the sounds of my classmates hanging out and chatting, too consumed by what just happened to care.
I burst into the dorm hall, not even bothering to knock as I rush to Mina's room. I throw the door open, finding her sitting on her bed, casually scrolling through her phone. She looks up, surprised at my frantic entrance, her eyes widening as she notices the flush on my face.
“Y/N? What’s going on? You look like you just ran a marathon.”
I stand there for a moment, panting heavily, my mind still a mess. Then it all spills out of me in a rush, the words tumbling over each other in a desperate attempt to make sense of what just happened.
“Mina! Oh my god, I… I just—”
Mina sets her phone down, her curiosity piqued as she watches me with wide eyes. "Whoa, whoa, slow down. What's going on? You're acting like you just saw a ghost."
"I think I almost... I mean, I did... I don’t even know what happened!" I start pacing in a circle, trying to gather my thoughts. "So we were training, right? And everything was going great, I was holding my own against Aizawa—like, seriously, I almost had him! But then, then I flipped him over and, and I just—" I pause, pressing my palms against my flushed cheeks. "I—I was on top of him, Mina! And I almost—"
Mina's eyes practically light up as she jumps up from her bed, her hands pressed together in front of her like she’s about to explode. “Oh my god, what?! You were on top of him?!”
I spin around, trying to calm down but failing miserably. “I KNOW! And the worst part is that I just froze there for a second! He was looking at me—so close—and I could feel his breath, and his eyes—Ugh!” I let out a frustrated groan, rubbing my face with both hands. "I panicked, Mina. I jumped up, like an idiot. I couldn't even—"
“You panicked?!” Mina cuts me off, practically vibrating with excitement. "Are you serious?! I would've been like—yes, let's take this chance, let’s—"
I shoot her a glare. “Don’t even. I’m not you.”
Mina only laughs, hopping up onto her bed with an exaggerated roll of her eyes. “Sorry, sorry. But, honestly, Y/N... you totally could’ve done something. You were in the perfect position!” She teases, nudging my side with her elbow. "Like, you were basically in control there. That’s... that’s huge!"
I let out a sigh, sitting down on the bed next to her. My hands are still shaking slightly from the rush of adrenaline, my mind a tangled mess of emotions. "I know, but it felt so... wrong, y'know? I mean, he’s my teacher! And I’m pretty sure he was just trying to teach me a lesson, not, like, do anything... But then again, there was that moment. I saw it in his eyes—Mina, he looked surprised! Like... like he didn’t expect me to actually pull it off!”
