Chapter XVIII

"Can I just stay here with you?" She look at me with pleading eyes then look over to the couch.

"Who's gonna show us around if Joohyun unnie will stay with you?" Yerim said.

"We can do it on our own. We won't get lost if we do it alone, right unnie?" Seungwan asks. The two girls look at her in disbelief.

"I'll have you accompanied by someone." I said.

"That would be nice." after that I did call for someone for them to follow.

The three left. Seulgi and I settled on the couch.

"Do you want to talk about something?" I face her fully. She just opened up her arms, expecting me to come closer. I did.

"I love you more than anyone can ever imagine, Hyun." I felt her kiss my head. She then pulled me even closer and fix us both in a comfortable cuddle.

"You're overthinking again." I just feel it.

"You're my most important, Hyun." I know that. "I could even say that you can be the air that I breathe, I need..."

"Bear, you're at it again." I said softly patting her. She let out a little laugh. "I told you to trust me, right?"

"I'm sorry. The size of your house is just making me more nervous." She said that made me laugh. "It made me realize how much power your family has. If they won't like me, I would have the least chance of winning in fighting for you." I pinch her side that made her flinch.

"What are you saying?" God!

"I'm saying, if they take you away from me... the chances of me dying comes after that." I pinch her, strongly this time.

"Aaw! Hyun!" She reacted. "I am serious!"

"I know you are." That makes her words more annoying. "Stop thinking like that, I hate it." I snuggle closer to her.

"You do?"

"Hmm"

"Okay." I scoff at her response.

"I love you so much, Kang Seulgi." I kiss her neck. "So freaking much."

"Me too, love. Me too." I felt her kiss me again.

Then there was comfortable silence between us and we just cuddle for I don't know how long, before she spoke again.

"What are your plans after retiring?" She asks. "Are you gonna work at your company?"

"I don't know het" I said. "But at some point I need to. I'm all my parents have."

"Having that big of a responsibility... Does your Dad still have time for you and your Mom?" She curiously asks that made me pull away a little and look up to her. Her head really wanders all the time.

"Seulgi. I will never not have time for you." I see her lips form a smile.

"I'm not asking about--"

"Didn't I just told you to stop thinking like there's something that can change what we have." I seriously said. "There's nothing, Seul. Nothing's out there that can change us. I will not let that happen."

"We can never be so su--" I leaned up to her and kiss her.

I didn't plan on making it a quick one. I just want something to prove how much love I have for her. Right now this is what I can do.

I moved and settled myself, hovering over her, without breaking the kiss. Instead I started kissing her more, cupping her face.

I gasped the moment I felt her cold hands on my bare waist. She bit my lower lip before moving away to catch her breath.
