Helga Hufflepuff's dueling chamber was more crowded than usual. Lettie glanced around, her moss-green eyes taking in the familiar stone walls lined with enchanted sconces and old, worn bookshelves. Tonight's meeting had an unexpected guest.
Luna Lovegood stood near the center of the chamber, gazing around with quiet fascination.
"She found me in the library," Theo muttered to Lettie, standing close beside her. "Started talking about... Merlin knows what. Before I knew it, I was agreeing to bring her here."
Lettie bit back a smirk. "I knew there was a reason you were late."
Theo shot her a glare before glancing back at Luna, who was now running her fingers along the old dueling platform as if feeling the room's history.
Fred and George, standing off to the side, shared an amused glance. "So," Fred drawled, folding his arms, "what exactly made you invite Loony Lovegood to our very secret, very illegal hideout?"
Theo scowled. "Don't call her that."
Lettie's eyebrows shot up. Oh, interesting.
Luna didn't seem offended in the slightest. Instead, she turned to Fred with her usual dreamy expression. "It's alright. People call me that all the time. Though, I do prefer just 'Luna.'"
Fred, caught off guard by her complete lack of offense, rubbed the back of his neck. "Er—right. Luna, then."
Luna smiled and turned to Lettie. "This room feels safe. And alive."
Lettie tilted her head. "Alive?"
Luna nodded. "It's filled with old magic. The kind that remembers."
Fred smirked. "That's one way to put it. Mostly, it just keeps our secrets."
Luna looked between them, her expression curious. "That's why I wanted to come. I heard you lot talking about Sirius Black the other day."
Lettie stiffened.
Luna continued, unbothered. "I think I can help."
Fred raised an eyebrow. "You think?"
Luna smiled. "Yes. I've always been good at seeing things other people don't."
Lettie exchanged a glance with Theo before nodding. "Alright, Lovegood. Welcome to the rebellion."
After the others filtered out of the chamber, Luna remained behind with Lettie and Fred.
"You two feel... balanced together," she mused suddenly.
Lettie turned to her. "Balanced?"
Luna nodded. "Yes. Like fire and earth. Different, but steady."
Fred grinned, wrapping an arm around Lettie's waist. "I like the sound of that."
Lettie rolled her eyes playfully. "As long as you don't take that as an excuse to set things on fire."
Fred smirked. "No promises, love."
Luna smiled, glancing toward the doorway. "I think Theo Nott might have Wrackspurts after all."
Lettie raised an eyebrow. "Because he likes you?"
Luna's serene expression didn't change. "Because he doesn't know what to do about it."
Fred snorted. "Poor bloke."
Lettie smirked. "This is going to be fun."
