But Jungkook didn't linger on it. He pushed the thoughts aside, focusing instead on his mission to meet the girl he liked.

He walked out the door, his heart pounding in anticipation as he made his way to the meeting place. It was time to find out if his feelings for her were really love, or if there was something else he needed to figure out first.

As he walked, Jungkook thought to himself, I still like her. I have to find out if she feels the same.

Jungkook stood outside the small café where he had arranged to meet her. His heart pounded as he adjusted the bracelet on his wrist-Jin's words engraved on it giving him a strange sense of comfort. He took a deep breath and stepped inside.

She was already there, sitting by the window with a soft smile when she saw him. The sunlight streamed through the glass, highlighting her gentle features.

"Jungkook! It's been a while," she said warmly, standing up to greet him.

"Yeah, it has," Jungkook replied, smiling shyly as he took a seat across from her.

The conversation started easily. They talked about school memories, the things they'd missed about their hometown, and how much their lives had changed.

"I heard your group debuted last year," she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "That's amazing, Jungkook. You've come so far."

Jungkook scratched the back of his neck, feeling a little bashful. "Yeah, it's been a crazy ride. But it's worth it. I love what I'm doing."

"And you're so good at it," she added. "I always knew you'd make it."

Her words warmed his heart, but something about the moment felt... off. He couldn't quite place it, but the excitement he thought he'd feel sitting across from her wasn't there.

As they continued talking, Jungkook found himself enjoying the conversation, but in a way that felt familiar rather than thrilling. She was kind, funny, and easy to talk to, but the spark he'd always imagined wasn't there.

When she asked him about his life in Seoul and his journey with BTS, Jungkook spoke with passion. He talked about the members, their struggles, and their bond. Every time he mentioned Jin, his voice softened without him even realizing it.

"Jin-hyung sounds like a great guy," she said, noticing how fondly Jungkook spoke of him.

"He is," Jungkook replied, a small smile tugging at his lips. "He's always looking out for me, making sure I eat well, rest enough, and... he just gets me, you know?"

Her smile faded slightly as she studied his expression. "You really care about him, don't you?"

Jungkook blinked, feeling a sudden rush of confusion. "Well, yeah. He's my hyung. He's... special."

The words hung in the air, and Jungkook quickly changed the subject.

As the afternoon went on, Jungkook kept waiting for the right moment to tell her how he felt. He tried to summon the courage, but every time he opened his mouth, the words got stuck in his throat.

When he looked at her, he didn't feel the pull he thought he would. Instead, his mind kept drifting to other things-BTS, his goals, and Jin's encouraging smile.

After a while, he realized he couldn't do it.

They spent a bit more time chatting before parting ways. As Jungkook walked away from the café, a strange mix of relief and confusion washed over him.

He couldn't understand why he couldn't say the words he'd been practicing for so long. She was someone he'd admired for years, but now that the moment had come, it didn't feel the same .
