When It's Time. | SEULRENE

Chapter XXI

"She's only gong to kill us if we cause trouble again. I assure you, we won't." I said.

"How about our clothes? Do we have time to get some?" 

"I already packed for the both of us. That's why it took me long to go to bed with you last night. I just packed light though, we can buy if you don't like the clothes I chose for you." 

"It's fine. I'm gonna wear whatever you brought." She said. "How about accommodation?"

"I booked a very private Airbnb. Booking a hotel would be risky." 

"Oh? We're still hiding?" I look at her at what she said. She laughs. "Keep your eyes on the road love." I did. "I was just teasing you. Don't mind what I said."

"After I leave the company, there will be no need for hiding anymore." I reach for her hand to hold. "There will be no more calculated plans and dates." I brought her hand up and kiss the back of it. 

I'm so tired of being careful not to be seen with her. I'm so tired of having limited options in bringing her out for dates. If there's anything I'm most excited about when I'm done with promo for the mini, it's the fact tat I don't have to hide that I'm close to her anymore. I can see her outside private spots and all. 

We went straight to the airport, gladly no took notice of us. We arrived at Jeju past midnight already. It's a good thing I gave the owner of the Airbnb a heads up that we'll be arriving late. 

We haven't gotten the chance to intake the charm the place has, because when we arrived we just went to bed after washing up and changing. We were tired and sleepy and we chose to give in to that. The next day, we woke up late.  

We are currently walking in this small town finding a good place to eat. 

"We're not going to get lost again, right love?" I look up to her from my phone. I was looking if we were in the right path. 

"No." I then pointed at the restaurant we're heading to. "There. It's said to be one of the must tries restaurants here."

"The place looks vintage." Hyun said. 

"Well, it's said to that it was here for the past decades already. It's still famous though." 

"Then, what are we waiting for? I'm starving." She then pulled us to the place. 

Right when we reach it there were people who came out, it was then followed by a lady with an apron. We see her change the We're Open sign to a we're Closed sign. That made Seulgi and I look at each other, then we stop the lady from entering again. 

"Auntie Wait!" We said in unison that caught her attention. She look at us. 

"May I help you?" 

"Uhm... Are you really closing already?" I asked, hoping that's not the case. She smiled at us.

"It's your first time here? Tourists?" Hyun and I nodded. "Since you two look like you really want try here, maybe we can serve you a few dishes." She said opening up the door for us. 

"Oh My God! Thank you so much!" Hyun bowed to her, so did I.

She chuckled and told us to follow her. She guided us to a table, gave us the menu, then waited for our order before leaving us.

"Thank God she let us in!" Hyun said, removing her coat and putting it on the seat beside her. "It's warm here. Good warmth." She said. 

I removed my coat too. She was right, the temperature inside this restaurant is just right. 

I bring out my camera to capture some shots here. Hyun's been taking pictures too. 

"Love, look here." I face her and strike poses for her. She chuckled as she puts down her phone.

"How did I look?" I leaned over to the table, wanting to look over to her phone.

"You always look good." I met her eyes. I leaned back.

"I'll take a photo of you too." I pointed my camera at her. She smiled to it.

I captured a few shots, then show it to her. Few minutes past and our order were served.

"Hope you enjoy the food." The lady said then left us all alone.

Hyun picked up her cutlery. Her eyes widen after taking a bite of the food. "Is it good?"

"Hmm." She nodded again. I pick up my cutlery to try, but before I could she's already offering me a bite.

I squinted my eyes at her.

"You don't want it? Okay." She was about to take it back and eat it herself, but I stop her and took it to my mouth. She's right! It's good.

I smiled at her. "You're such a--"

"Baby? Well, I'm your baby." I winked at her before I look back down at the food.

We continued to eat. The food was to my liking, it made me want to eat more, but we ordered a lot already.

"Are you done?" I felt her wipe the sides of my lips with a napkin. I leaned closer to her and let her do it withouth reaching far.

"We're coming back here." I said. 

"Yes love." She then poke my nose. "Where are we going next?" She asks.

"A spot where it'll be nice to see the sun set." I know she would love to see it.

We look over to the counter, where the lady who took us in earlier is currently cleaning up. We waited until she look to our direction before asking for the bill.

"It'll be on the house." The lady said as soon as as came.

"It's okay, we can pay." Hyun said.

"No, really... We were just closing and it's an honor already to be able to serve you two." She bowed. I thought she didn't recognize us, at all.

Hyun and I share a look.

"Is there anything we can do at least?" I ask.

"Umm.." there is.

"It's okay..." Hyun said to her

"Can I ask for an autograph?" That's all? "My wife's a fan." Wife?

"Of course." Hyun and I agreed.

Next thing she went to get papers and marker. We both signed it.

"You don't want photos for proof?" I ask her. "Your wife may not believe you"

"No, I don't want to ask for more anymore. This is already enough." She said then bowed. "Thank you for dining in with us." She said.

We left the restaurant and went to out next destination.

We were just walking around the small town,taking our time, until we reach the beach area.

"Looks like there will be no sunset." I said.

"It's okay. It's still beautiful." I look at her and she's facing ahead, I did the same. Still taking in the view of a cloudy sky.

She give my hand a little squeeze and then I felt her leaned her head on my shoulder.

"I love it here." She said. "I love this. I get to be free being this close to you."

"I love it too."

"Do you think after all of it... Will we have more of this?" She softly ask.

After all the waiting and hiding, I totally get where the longing of this freedom is coming from. I feel it too.

"I'll make sure of it." I give her head a kiss.

It's a promise.

This is the rest I mostly needed.
