After everything… after years of love, after holding onto Jungkook like he was his entire world… this was how it ended?

Jungkook, clearly agitated now, let out a frustrated breath. "Yes, Jin! This is how it ends! Don’t you get it? You were never supposed to be anything more than… someone I leaned on." He ran a hand through his hair, his voice rising. "But Sana, she’s different. She’s the one I want to build a life with. You need to accept that!"

Jin let out a shaky laugh, but it was void of any joy. His eyes glistened with unshed tears as he took a step back.

"You could’ve just told me the truth, Jungkook," he whispered, his voice barely holding together. "You didn’t have to destroy me like this."

The room fell silent.

The other members were frozen in place, their faces reflecting the horror of what they had just witnessed. Namjoon’s jaw was clenched so tightly it looked painful. Jimin’s fists trembled at his sides, his body practically vibrating with rage. Taehyung’s eyes burned with unspoken fury, while Yoongi and Hoseok looked completely and utterly betrayed.

Namjoon stepped forward, as if to stop Jin from leaving, but Jin raised a hand.

He took one last look at Jungkook—the man he had loved with every fiber of his being. The man who had just torn him apart.

Then, without another word, Jin turned around and walked out of the room.

The door shut behind him with a quiet click.

But to Jungkook, it felt like the loudest sound in the world.

The room was silent. Not a single person moved as Jin walked out, the door clicking shut behind him.

Jungkook stayed rooted in place, his fists clenched at his sides. The room was heavy with tension, and none of the members knew what to say.

That silence should have lasted longer.

But it didn’t.

Because in the next second, a sharp, resounding slap echoed through the practice room.

Jungkook’s head snapped to the side, his cheek stinging from the force of the blow. He barely had time to react before Jimin, his hands trembling, stared at him with tear-filled eyes.

"How could you?" Jimin’s voice shook, a mix of rage and heartbreak. "How could you do that to him? After everything?!"

Jungkook remained still, his expression unreadable.

"You bastard!" Jimin yelled, his voice breaking completely as he shoved Jungkook back. "You said you loved him! You—" His breath hitched, his fingers curling into fists. "You promised!"

Jungkook swallowed but didn’t say anything.

"You’re a coward," Jimin spat, his voice thick with emotion. "You’re running away and destroying everything we had."

Jungkook barely had time to react before Jimin shoved him back again. "He loved you more than anything! He would’ve given you the whole damn world if you asked for it, Jungkook! And you—you just threw it all away like it meant nothing!"

His chest heaved, and before he could do anything else, Namjoon pulled him back.

"Jimin," Namjoon’s voice was firm, though his own hands were shaking. "That’s enough."

Jimin ripped himself from Namjoon’s grip and turned away, furiously wiping at his eyes.

The air in the room was suffocating, charged with emotions none of them could contain.

Jungkook’s throat tightened, his mind reeling, but before he could even try to explain, a low, deadly voice cut through the room.

"You're going to regret this," Yoongi murmured, his tone eerily calm, but his eyes were cold. "One day, when it’s too late… when he’s gone, when you realize you let go of the one person who loved you beyond anything, you’re going to beg to take it all back." His lips curled in disgust. "And you won’t be able to."

Jungkook’s stomach twisted.

Yoongi exhaled sharply, crossing his arms, but his cold glare was sharp enough to cut through Jungkook’s defenses. "You know what, Jungkook?" he said, his voice eerily calm. "One day, when you realize what you lost, I hope it eats you alive."

Jungkook’s jaw tightened. "Hyung—"

"No," Yoongi cut him off, his tone dangerously low. "You don’t get to defend yourself. Not this time." He took a step closer, his dark eyes filled with disappointment. "You were everything to him. And you just threw him away."

J-Hope let out a bitter, humorless laugh. "It’s funny, really," he said, shaking his head. "Because we all saw it. The way you two loved each other. The way you used to be. And now you’re telling us that none of it was real?"

Jungkook’s throat tightened. "I—"

J-Hope’s voice rose, his usual warmth replaced by anger. "Shut up!" His voice cracked, but he didn’t care. "Just shut up, Jungkook. I don’t want to hear whatever excuse you have. You think you want a normal life, huh?" His expression darkened as he stepped closer. "You think leaving Jin is the key to that? That running to someone else will make you happy?" He scoffed. "You’re a fool, Jungkook. You’re running toward something that will never be enough, and by the time you realize it, Jin will be long gone."

Jungkook’s breath came in uneven gasps, his mind screaming at him that this was the right choice—wasn’t it? Wasn’t it?

Taehyung, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke. But his voice wasn’t loud. It wasn’t angry.

It was just… broken.

"You chose her," he whispered. "Over him."

Jungkook hesitated, guilt flickering in his eyes. "I—"

"You chose her," Taehyung repeated, his expression empty. "And you think you won’t regret it?" He let out a breathless chuckle, but there was no amusement in it. "Jungkook, you’re going to wake up one day and realize that Jin-hyung was your real home. And when you do… he won’t be there anymore."

"Do you even know what you just did?" Taehyung’s voice was low, controlled, but the way his fists clenched at his sides said everything. "You didn't just break Jin." His eyes burned into Jungkook’s. "You broke all of us."

Jungkook swallowed thickly, his hands shaking. "I—I didn’t mean to—"

"Didn't mean to?" Namjoon finally spoke, his voice eerily quiet. But the disappointment in his eyes hurt more than anything. "Jungkook, if you didn’t mean to, then why did you do it?" His jaw tightened, his hands trembling. "Do you even understand what you've done? You didn’t just walk away from Jin. You shattered him. You destroyed the one person who always put you above himself."

The weight of their words crushed Jungkook.

His breath came in sharp, uneven gasps as he looked around at the people he once called his brothers. He had never seen them like this before—this furious, this heartbroken.

Jungkook felt something heavy settle in his chest.

"You made your choice," Namjoon said simply. "But don’t expect us to pretend like it didn’t break everything we had."

His gaze was filled with so much disappointment, it was unbearable.

Namjoon turned and walked out first.

J-Hope followed, then Yoongi.

Jimin hesitated, staring at Jungkook one last time before shaking his head and leaving.

Taehyung was the last to go. He paused at the door, then turned to Jungkook, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I hope she was worth it."

And then he was gone.

Jungkook was alone.

The room, which once felt like a second home, felt foreign now. Cold.

And for the first time since making his choice…

Jungkook felt like he had lost everything.
