“Hyung did it,” Jimin whispered, his voice breaking as he turned to Hobi, who sat completely still for a moment, stunned. Then Hobi smiled—a bright, teary smile—and clapped slowly, emotionally, his chin trembling.
Yoongi lowered his gaze.
Namjoon leaned back in his seat, staring at the ceiling like he was begging it to make this all make sense.
Tae gave a small, broken smile. “Would we have even deserved to stand beside him?”
The presenter continued, "Accepting the award on Jin's behalf is the CEO of HYBE, Mr. Bang Si-hyuk."
Mr. Bang walked up to the stage, his demeanor calm yet respectful. He accepted the award with a short bow, then approached the microphone.
"Good evening," he began, his voice steady. "Jin couldn't be here tonight due to his commitments, but he asked me to convey his gratitude to everyone who supported this album. This project was deeply personal for him, and I believe it speaks to the resilience of the human spirit."
Before he could step away, Mr. Bang hesitated, then spoke again. "There's one more thing i wanted to share." He gestured toward the giant screen behind him.
The lights dimmed, and a video started playing. The audience saw Jin in a recording studio, wearing headphones and standing before a microphone. He looked calm, focused, and strikingly different-his voice carried a calm maturity.
The music director's voice could be heard in the background. "This album is going to win so many awards, Jin. It's going to go viral, he said in english."
Jin, without missing a beat, responded in flawless English, "I'm not doing this for awards. I don't care about that. I just want to prove that I'm not what they think I am. Maybe... maybe this is for the ARMY. And for the person who said I can't sing and only deserve a few lines. I hope they hear this."
The video cut to snippets of him singing, his voice raw and emotional. The audience sat spellbound.
When the video ended, the theater erupted into applause. The members of BTS were visibly emotional. Jungkook kept his gaze on the screen long after it had gone dark, his expression unreadable.
ARMYs around the world were in tears. The members were frozen in their seats, their emotions a tangled mess of pride, guilt, and shock.
What hit them the hardest was Jin's English. It wasn't just fluent-it was natural, like he'd been speaking it his entire life. None of them had ever known about this side of him.
Jungkook, however, sat completely still, his face emotionless. But inside, his mind was racing, his heart pounding.
The world now knew Jin was not just a member of BTS-he was an artist, a storyteller, and someone whose voice could not be silenced.
Back at their table, Taehyung whispered, "Did you hear that? His English..."
Namjoon nodded, his voice quiet. I don't know he can speak in english fluently.
Yoongi added, his tone soft, "It's like we never really knew everything about him."
The show continued, but the energy at BTS's table was subdued. Each member was lost in their own thoughts, grappling with the weight of Jin's message and the realization of how much he had grown-both personally and professionally-since leaving.
As the evening ended, the Grammy for Album of the Year remained a defining moment, not just for Jin, but for BTS as a group. It marked a turning point in their lives, filled with questions they weren't sure they were ready to face yet.
