Chapter 29

Jiwon, more reserved, clung to Jin’s hand but offered a shy wave. “I’m Jiwon,” she said softly.

Namjoon crouched down to their level, his smile genuine as he greeted them. “Nice to meet you both. I’ve heard so much about you from Minji.”

Jiho’s eyes sparkled. “Really? Did she tell you I can run super fast? Faster than Appa!”

Jin chuckled softly at his son’s enthusiasm, his earlier formality momentarily melting away. Namjoon couldn’t help but smile at the scene, sensing the love and bond between Jin and his children.

Minji then introduced Jin’s brother, Seokjoon, his wife, Eunhee, and their two sons, Sanghyun and Minjae. The entire family greeted Namjoon warmly, their interactions light and cheerful yet distant.

Throughout the conversation, Namjoon stole glances at Jin, his mind still clouded with questions he desperately wanted to ask. But he held back, respecting the moment and the happiness radiating from Minji.

Jiwon smiled softly, her small hand still gripping Jin’s fingers. “imo samchon is really nice. I’m glad you found him.”

Minji’s face lit up at the children’s words, and she leaned over to hug them both. “You two are the sweetest.”

As the conversation flowed, the atmosphere lightened. Jin maintained his composure, keeping the focus on Minji and Namjoon’s happiness. But deep down, he couldn’t help but feel the weight of Namjoon’s gaze—the silent questions lingering between them.

For now, though, Jin chose to stay in the moment, cherishing the innocence of his children and the joy surrounding Minji’s engagement. There would be time for answers later.

After greeting Jin and his family, Namjoon took Minji’s hand, guiding her toward the table where the BTS members were sitting. The group, still stunned after seeing Jin, sat in a tense silence. Each of them exchanged glances, the same unspoken thought circling in their minds: Jin was here, well, and surrounded by a family.

As Namjoon and Minji approached, the members quickly composed themselves, putting on polite smiles. They didn’t want to bring their confusion and emotions into Namjoon’s special day.

Namjoon gestured to the group with a proud smile. “Minji, these are my brothers. My family.”

Minji beamed, nodding enthusiastically. “Of course! I’ve heard so much about all of you. It’s so nice to finally meet you.”

One by one, Namjoon introduced each member.

“This is Kim Taehyung, but everyone calls him V.”

Taehyung stood up, giving Minji a boxy smile. “Nice to meet you, Minji-ssi. Namjoon’s been talking about you nonstop,” he teased, earning a playful nudge from Namjoon.

Minji laughed, “I hope only good things!”

Namjoon moved on. “And this is Jimin.”

Jimin gave a small bow and a warm smile. “Congratulations, Minji-ssi. Namjoon’s lucky to have someone like you.”

“Thank you, Jimin-ssi,” Minji replied, touched by his kind words.

Next was Yoongi. “This is Min Yoongi, or Suga.”

Yoongi gave a polite nod. “Welcome to the family, Minji-ssi. It’s nice to finally meet the person who makes Namjoon this happy.”

Minji smiled, bowing slightly. “Thank you, Suga-ssi. It’s an honor to meet you.”

“This is Jung Hoseok, or J-Hope,” Namjoon continued.

Hoseok’s face lit up as he stood, his natural energy filling the space. “Minji-ssi, congratulations! You’re marrying our leader, so that makes you part of our team now.”
