Jungkook glanced around, his eyes scanning the area, hoping to catch sight of Jin. There had been so many unspoken words between them, so many unresolved emotions that still weighed heavy on his heart. He wanted to ask Jin about everything-the kids, their past, and what exactly had happened between them. But every time he saw Jin, it was like he was a different person, one that Jungkook couldn't quite reach anymore.
"Where did Jin hyung go?" Taehyung asked, a soft frown creasing his forehead as he watched their surroundings. His usual carefree demeanor was subdued, as if even he, with all his open-heartedness, knew that everything had shifted in their relationship with Jin.
"He slipped away again, didn't he?" Namjoon sighed. He had tried to speak to Jin earlier in the day, but as always, Jin had made himself scarce. It wasn't just that Jin had pulled away from the group-it was that he had distanced himself from them emotionally too, and that was something none of them knew how to fix.
"He's been like this ever since he came here," Jimin added, his voice soft and reflective. "I don't know if it's because of the past or the kids... but there's a wall now. And it's like we can't break through."
"Maybe we should just give him time," Yoongi said, though his words lacked conviction. It had been almost impossible for them to do that, especially when they all felt the distance between them growing by the day. "But it's getting harder, isn't it?"
Jungkook stayed silent, his gaze drifting towards the empty chair where Jin should have been sitting. Something had shifted, and now there were too many things left unsaid between them.
"I can't believe this," hobi muttered under his breath, his frustration bubbling beneath the surface. He wanted to go to Jin to ask him what had happened. But no matter what, there always walls Jin had built around himself.
"We should talk to him. No matter what, we can't let this keep going," Namjoon finally said, his voice firm with resolve. "We're his family, and families don't walk away from each other. We need to find a way to reach him."
"Yeah..." tae said with determination. "We need to fix this."
The members all shared silent looks of agreement but jungkook sit there silently without saying anything. They had been waiting for the right moment to talk to Jin, to break the silence that had stretched between them for so long. But now, they realized that the moment might never come if they didn't take the first step.
Just as the evening continued to unfold, Jin remained out of sight, likely somewhere, keeping to himself as he always did now. The group knew that tomorrow was another day, but they couldn't help but feel the weight of their unspoken words hanging over them. And though they respected his space, they also knew deep down that they couldn't stay silent for much longer.
After a long day of sightseeing and bonding with his family, Jin returned to the villa with everyone. The atmosphere was lighthearted, filled with laughter and warmth as they shared a simple dinner together. Jiho and Jiwon, exhausted from their adventures, quickly fell asleep in their room, leaving the adults with a quiet moment of peace.
Once everything was settled for the night, Jin retreated to his own room. He closed the door behind him and leaned against it, letting out a deep sigh. His thoughts, which he had tried to push aside all day, now came flooding back in full force.
Sitting on the edge of his bed, he stared at the moonlight filtering through the curtains, his mind replaying the events of the past couple of days. Seeing BTS members again after all this time had stirred emotions he thought he had buried. And then there was Jungkook. The mere sight of him had been like a punch to the gut. Jin had tried his best to remain indifferent, but deep down, he knew the encounter had shaken him.
He ran a hand through his hair, frustration building as he thought about how fate had played its cruel game. Minji's fiancé is Namjoon. If I had known... Jin clenched his fists, feeling a mix of anger and helplessness. If I had known Minji's Joon was him, I would never have come here. But now it's too late.
Jin sighed again, his expression softening as he thought of Minji. She had always been like a younger sister to him, and her happiness meant the world to him. He couldn't be the one to ruin it. No matter how much pain it caused him, he wouldn't let his past interfere with her future.
"I have to endure this," Jin thought, his resolve hardening. "I can't let my emotions get the better of me. I owe it to Minji to be here for her, even if it means keeping my distance from them."
He glanced at the bedside table, where a framed photo of Jiho and Jiwon sat. Their bright smiles reminded him of why he had built this new life, far away from the shadows of his past. His children were his everything now, and they gave him the strength to move forward.
"I can't let them speak to me," Jin decided firmly. "Not Namjoon, not the others, and especially not Jungkook. They don't belong in this chapter of my life anymore. I've moved on, and I have to keep moving forward."
Jin stood up, pacing the room as he tried to calm his restless thoughts. He knew the members would try to approach him again-it was in their nature to seek answers. But he couldn't afford to reopen old wounds, not when he had worked so hard to heal.
He finally sat back down on the bed, his eyes fixed on the photo of his children. "For Jiho and Jiwon, I'll do whatever it takes. They're my priority now, and I won't let anything disrupt the life I've built for them."
As the night wore on, Jin lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. His decision was made: he would avoid any chance for confrontation, no matter how difficult it might be. For the sake of his children, his family, and Minji's happiness, he would keep his distance and protect the fragile peace he had found.
