Kadic Academy & Town
Odd dreams of being in Lyoko, only to wake up in a half-digitalised version of his room. The line between Earth and Lyoko has begun to blur. Jeremy detects phantom towers appearing in real-world coordinates. Civilians begin experiencing digital "glitches": a teacher speaks in binary; a cat walks upside-down midair. Yumi and Ulrich narrowly stop a school bus from driving into a phantom wall. Something else is going on.
A Ruined Tower Sector
Lyra and XANA review Elias's new tower connections: he's embedded himself in both Lyoko and the real world through Lyra's code. XANA reveals a long-forgotten subroutine Franz Hopper wrote — a "reboot key" that could shut down Elias permanently. But it's incomplete. Only Elias and Hopper knew how to finish it. Which, in this case, was mission impossible. Lyra decides they must confront Franz Hopper, even if it means returning to the most unstable part of Lyoko: Sector Zero.
Sector Zero
Lyra and XANA find Franz Hopper's avatar, sealed in a collapsing memory bubble. Franz sees Lyra with XANA and immediately assumes the worst. He refuses to help, believing Lyra has "betrayed her humanity." Lyra, desperate, begs him to look at what Elias has done. Hopper sees fragments of Elias overwriting parts of Lyoko he once built. After hesitation, Franz agrees to give her the missing key fragment — but warns:
"This will cost you something. You can't save both Lyoko and Elias."
Factory Control Room
Jeremy and Aelita finalise their virus, ready to launch it against the tower network. But Odd overhears Lyra's voice — she's found a way to speak to them briefly through an unstable tower-link. She begs them to wait, to trust her one last time. Ulrich wants to believe her. Yumi isn't sure. Aelita, visibly torn, says:
"Lyra made her choice when she chose XANA."
Jeremy prepares to launch the virus anyway — until Odd shuts down the program without permission.
Core of Origins
Elias discovers that Franz Hopper gave Lyra the reboot key fragment. Furious, he begins to unravel the Core from within, causing entire sectors to collapse. He sends phantom copies of Lyra's worst simulations into the real world:
A fake Elias at Kadic.
A simulation of her father's death is playing on every screen.
The Lyoko Warriors are overwhelmed.
Bridge Between Sectors
Lyra prepares to upload the reboot key with XANA's help. She asks XANA, quietly:
"When this is over... if we survive... will I still be me?"
"You were never just code, Lyra. You were always the variable the system couldn't predict." XANA said.
As Lyra activates the reboot key, the sky above Lyoko begins to fragment into light and shadow.
