After the group separated, Goku continued traveling on Kinto'un, traversing land and sea to reach the Kame House to see if Roshi could really teach him something worthwhile. He was laying back on the golden cloud with his hands behind his head, looking up at the endless sky.
"Now that I know I can't go back with Shenron, I guess I have to live here... as this Goku guy." He let out a frustrated sigh. "Fuck! I never watched or read Dragon Ball, and the only time someone talked about it was this nerdy girl, but I wasn't paying attention to her rambling... Anyway, even if I knew the story, I don't intend to follow his lifestyle."
Without realizing it until now, he had been unconsciously following Goku's original path.
"Now that I think about it, I'm a kid again. I could live a life I never had..." His expression grew thoughtful. "I was a smug bastard in my previous life... rightfully so. Tall, handsome, fit, and smart-I had everything I wanted. Money, some kind of fame, and women... even married women." His face darkened slightly. "Being a lawyer for the mafia had its perks. The power, the fear, the respect... until one of my clients found out I was fucking his wife. Well, that's what caused my end."
He stretched on the cloud, feeling the wind rush past him. "But now" A dark thought crossed his mind. "Why am I limiting myself to a normal life? I have power now-real power. Not just legal manipulation and connections, but actual strength that could reshape this world."
He sat up slightly, his eyes narrowing as the thought took hold. "In my past life, I worked within systems, bent rules, manipulated people through law and influence. But here? With this strength... I could BE the system. Why follow anyone else's rules when I could make my own?"
He paused, "or Maybe I could get married eventually, have kids... So far, who have I met? Bulma and Mai. Well, Bulma's an annoying little bitch, plus she's with Yamcha now. But I don't see that lasting-I can read people pretty well, and she's too savage for someone like him."
Thinking about the other option. "Mai... well, I guess she's a possibility. But the thing is, even though I'm an adult mentally, my body is still that of a 13-year-old kid..." He shrugged. "Well, we'll see what happens."
Goku kept talking to himself during the ride, working through his thoughts about this strange new life he'd been thrust into.
In the distance, a small island became visible with a distinctive pink house sitting on it-the Kame House.
Goku jumped down from Kinto'un and approached the window. Inside, he saw the old man kneeling in front of the TV, watching an aerobic exercise program featuring a pretty girl in a leotard striking very suggestive poses.
"One~ Two~" the woman on screen repeated.
"One~ Two~" Roshi echoed, not doing any actual exercise-just watching intently.

Goku entered and sat behind him on the couch, observing this pathetic display. After thirty minutes, the show finally ended. Roshi got up with a satisfied look and turned around, only to jump in surprise when he saw Goku.
