Unexpected [Steven Universe Reader Insert ]

"Hi! My name's Steven!"

You blink at the boy, the bright smile on his face being the most prominent of his features. You seem confused for a moment, recognizing his voice. Was he the boy from before? You quickly snap back into reality, not wanting to seem like a confused goldfish any longer. "Erm... Hello, Steven." You say politely, holding out your hand for a shake. He gladly takes up the offer. "I'm [Name]."

He smiled wider, if that was even possible. "That's a nice name! That was really cool how you caught that volleyball." You pull away your hand from his, a chuckle escaping your lips.

"Oh? Is that so? " You tilt your head, smiling. " I'm not usually that cool." He giggles, shaking his head. The young boy seemed friendly.

A scream of terror rang throughout the beach, killing the calm moment. A purple fin swam through the water, chasing away the screaming tourists. " Amethyst! " A shrill voice was heard throughout the area. The boy turns around, only to be confused. " Whoa, P. I'm right here. Don't need to yell. " A chubby purple woman says to the person who yelled for her. The pale woman turned around, confused. She then looks back to the fin in shock, only for a hUGE HORRIFYING CREATURE TO COME OUT OF NOWHERE WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?

"Aw, a gem monster today? I thought it was our day off!" The curly-haired boy whines. "What is that thing!?!?" You yell, frightened beyond belief. Steven turns to you. "Oh, don't worry [Name]! The gems and I will take care of it. " The boy runs off to three other women, who were all standing in front of the creature. The odd gems ( That you just now noticed ) on their bodies glowed, they summoning weapons from the glowing jewels. Then, they jump forward and attack the beast.

Throughout most of the time, you were standing on the boardwalk nearby. Just, watching. This was a beyond cool battle. But the coolness of it didn't last long. Quite a bit of the place was demolished, and a lot of people were still recording/taking pictures of the battle with their phone.

But when the pale woman had stumbled, she was thrown away from the battle. But before she could take impact, you stupidly jumped forward and caught her. The impact lead on you, your flip flops being shredded as you were pushed back. The woman looked dizzy, holding the side of her head. She eventually looked up at you in shock, as did most of the patrons. You quietly set her down, staring at her.

And before the two of you knew it, a large puff of smoke crossed the area. The two remaining women and Steven stood around a purple gem, which the tall red woman held in her hands. An odd red-tinted transparent bubble formed around it, it disappearing with a flick of her wrist.

The pale woman walked away from you, a blue blush on her cheeks. As she went over to talk with the two other colorful woman, Steven came running up to you. "[Name], that was so cool! The big monster was just all ' Rawr rrrrr ' and hit Pearl away and you were like ' Nope, not letting this gem get hurt ' and you jumped and caught her and didn't fall over and and-" He was interrupted by your hysterical laughing, you holding your stomach in pain. " Well, I never thought I could do that! " You manage to laugh out, wiping a tear from your eye.

I'm having lots of fun writing this story, and I'm glad you all enjoy it. But I'd like to know if the reader should be paired with anyone? I was wondering what relationships the reader would have with everyone, and I'm still deciding who. But if you'd all like, I'll just try to do different things for it? Like, add a multiple choice?

It's up to you all whether or not we ship the reader with one person or multiple. Tell me in the comments! Love y'all. ]
