Reader's view
It's your second day here in the Glade. Newt said that you would start work tomorrow but today you should explore the Glade. You wanted to argue that the Glade isn't that big but you might as well explore.

As you were walking through the trees you notice something doesn't feel right. You turn your head to see Wallace, a runner but he looked different than usual. He had bright blue veins showing through the thin material of his shirt. You were terrified, you stood there looking the snarling boy in front of you.

"Wallace, aren't you supposed to be out running?"you say, your voice trembling with fear.

That's when he charged at you. You snapped out of the daze you were in, and run. You don't know what's wrong with him but he seems out of control. He's grunting as he chases you through the trees, your legs aching and your heart racing. He's faster than you and the mud on the ground is making you slip.

"Help!"you scream, fear flowing through you. No one heard you, not a single soul is coming to save you. He's only a metre away and he grabs you by the arm. You kick your foot and hit his abdomen. In the shock he loses his grip on your arm.

You run faster than ever before,your hamstrings are burning,your thighs feel like they are on fire and you feel like giving up but you know you have to keep running, your life depended on it. Using that little bit of energy left in you, you climb up the nearest tree, hoping Wallace didn't see you. You don't move,you don't even breath knowing if he hears you or sees you he will kill you. You want to give up and lie on the ground, you just don't have the energy to run anymore. You can hear Wallace breathing heavily below you. You've gathered some energy back so you say a quick and quiet prayer and jump on to his shoulders. You leap off him then kick him in the stomach. "Help! Please anyone!"you shout running towards the edge of the woods. You almost get out but a hand snatches your right leg.

"HELP!"you scream. The boys have seen you, Newt being one of them.
"GREENIE!"he shouts and that's when everything went black.

Newt's view
"GREENIE!"I shout just before Wallace hits her in the head with a rock.
I start running towards the woods, I can't let her die,I just can't.
I run even faster. Why do I care so much?It's not like I'm in love with her. Wait,Do I? Do I love her? I feel tears coming down my face and that's when I realize I love her. I try to calm down, how can I save her when I am a in mess? He's right there but I need to think of a plan before I rescue (Y/ N).Wait, I can't rescue her. Minho or Alby could save her, they are the type of people who rescue. I'm the type of person who follows not leads.

(Y/N) needs to be rescued now, I need to be brave. I run forward and confront the guy I welcomed to the Glade just months ago.

"Wallace,you've been stung by a Griever,you don't know what you're doing!" I say hoping he'd leave her alone.

"You don't get it Newt! Her uncle, he works for WICKED,we need to KILL her!"he shouts.

His words sting me so much that I say "No, you are wrong!"

He smiles and the bulging blue veins stick out,"Her father has killed innocent people!" he says in a whimpering voice.

"She's not her uncle,"I say in a voice as clear as day. I punch him in the face, a move I learned from (Y/ N) and walked over to her and carried her back to the Glade. Others took care of Wallace but I don't care about him, I just care about her.
Let her be okay, please.
