Lost in Time [AddxEve Elsword]

Chapter 7

Add's POV
I've been following Eve around ever since she exited the inn, I stare at her new outfit and her hair, yes, her beautiful long hair.

That rotten hair... Like a certain someone's...

I quickly push the voice inside my head out and keep on following behind Eve.

"Human, come out behind the post, behind myself to the right" I hear Eve command, compared to her voice when she was Code:Electra, this one sounds like a stranger, cold and stinging. I step out infront of my hiding spot and present myself to her. I could see Eve was ready to attack me at any time.

"Hey, woman, don't give me that look" I say harshly, my face forming a grimace grin.

This wasn't what I wanted to say...

I wanted to caress Eve's hair, telling her that she doesn't have to try so hard.
I want her to comfort me, tell me that it was going to be alright.
I want to thank her for saving me back then where my mind was being engulfed.

But why...

Why am I feeling like this? This hatred, loss and affection towards her?

She's just a Nasod, how could she know how you feel?

My mind keeps asking me questions that I haven't thought about before.

Nasods are machines, they have no feelings.

Could the kindness and warmth I felt from her before all be a fragment of my imagination?

She's gonna abandon you, just like how your mother abandoned you.

Shut up... Shut the fuck up.

"SHUT UP AHHHHH" I fall to my knees, clutching my head.

"A-dd..." I hear a murmur, not cold and stinging, but warm and soft.

"A-dd-"

"HEEYY! ADD KID!" the sound of a certain rowdy red haired girl cut off the sound of warmth.

"ADD KID!" Elesis grabs my arm and takes my head out of my hands and looks at me.

"Add your eyes..." I see her staring at me.
My eyes? What about my eyes?

From the corner of my eye I could see Eve, her expression... Changed... Shocked, scared almost.

"Eve..." I mumble climbing back onto my feet. I shake off the hand clutching my arm and head to Eve.

I extend my hand to her but I was hesitant. The moment I hesitated Eve gave me a quick glare before turning back around and continuing her way down the street. I tried to catch her, but all I got was her hair flowing through my fingers, very soft.

Why did I hesitate? I ask myself. In my memory I remember that I never had trouble expressing myself to Eve. Why now... Code: Battle Seraph... Could advancing really change a person that much?

Elesis tapped my back and motioned a carriage to cone over.

"To xxxx inn" She said to the driver, handing him a handful of ED.

Eve's POV
My calculations were off, I depicted a killing intent from behind and yet I was wrong, if I had attacked then things would of been hard to keep on control. At this rate I'll never be able to revive my race and lead them confidently.

Noted.

A-dd. When I think of this name my head hurts, as if a hammer is hitting the surface of my head, almost splitting it right in half.

*Plonk* I feel a substance his my front portion of my body, it's hard..

"Ah! I'm sorry, are you ok?" The substance says, in a mellow and tender voice. I look down to see a young man on the ground, rubbing his head. His light strawberry blonde hair is spiked up, with two ear looking features, colour: brown. The long electric blue scarf of his, on the ground, revealing a flesh colour on the other side. His striking blue eyes glanced to his two Shooters which fell when I bumped him. It seems that the hard substance was the armour that the young man was wearing, head to toe.

"Umm... Are you ok?" He asks while getting up to his feet, the armour making sounds. I analysed that he was only shorter than me by one or two centimetres. He had a serious face but the soft featured of his smile and eyes made him seem friendly.

"Umm..." He stared at me as if I were a statue at a contemporary art museum.

"Hello? Are you ok?" He asked.
I had realised that he was waiting for a response.

"Status: no injury
Power: full
Mode: resting" I give my response to him.

He hesitates for a moment, as if to say something. "That's good" he says sweetly, his smile apesring on his face once again. He then quickly scans my armour.

"You a fighter?" He asks with a smile once again.

I nod.

"I haven't seen you before, are you a traveller?" He asks, again with that smile of his.

I nod.

"Do you know about the invasion?" He then asks, with a somewhat more sharp look on his face.

I nod.

"You don't speak much, do you?" He asks, returning back to his soft smile.

I nod.

"... Bye then, I got some business to attend to" he says after hesitating for a short period of time.

I nod.

He waves his hand in the air frantically, as if he was trying to catch a fly, he smiles as he does so. I stand there, idle until the young man disappears out of my sight. I then contemplate on what just happen while I walk back to the inn.

Note to self: look on front of self when walking on streets.

Add's POV
When I come to I am back in the inn, Elesis by the side of the bed, it seems she's eating something.

"Elesis?" I say from the covers of my bed.

"W- what? Oh! You're awake now" Elesis says in her usual loud voice.

I wriggle out of my bed and pulled the covers down. I feel kind of empty right now. My eyes swiftly dart around the room, I then immediately run out and did a swift look through all the rooms in the inn before returning to Elesis.

"Where's Eve?" I ask rashly.

"Ah! That girl should be fine!"

I felt rage.

"DO YOU KNOW WHERE EVE IS?" I ask, this time impatiently.

"No... We left her, remember?" Elesis said, smiling.

"Then what good are you to me?"

Elesis's POV
Add's words were cold, indifferent. His glare shot through my body, he didn't see me.

"I'm going now" he briskly says while turning to the door. Before he leaves I grab onto the back of his jacket.

"Don't go" I mumble. Eve will be fine.

"LET GO OF ME YOU BITCH!" Add screams. My hand is slapped away violently, I grasp my hand in my other, the redness of it hurt. Add had stormed out of the inn by the time I looked back up.

I kneeled down on the floor with my red hand in my other, trying to ease the pain.

It hurts...
