Lost in Time [AddxEve Elsword]

Eve's POV

Seeing the new Chung sends chills down my spine, he's like a completely different person. He says he's protecting but the appearance was more like destroying.

"SHARP SHOOTER SYNDROME" an explosion occurred near where the demon was. Chung's voice was harsh and somewhat maniac-like as he attacks the demon non-stop, shooting with his shooters at top speed, preventing the demon from summoning anything that could aid him in this situation.

"OUTRAGE-"

"Chung, wait-" I call out to him but he doesn't even look at me.

"STRIKE!" Multiple missiles locked onto the demon, the missiles target and all that I could see was a bright blue light. As the light fades I see his face revealed, his mask slowly fading away, his expression, it wasnt like any other one I've seen him wear before. His expression was scary, almost inhuman. His eyebrows furrowed and his teeth clenched, sweat running down from his hairline, dripping down his cheek, as if he was... sweating from his eyes, when analyse him once more I couldn't tell if the liquid was from his eyes or just sweat. His arm drooping beside him, his shooters weighing them down, the destroyer placed down behind him. His breath was heavy, his expression was much like one that Add would wear. I felt obliged to stop him, to stop this suffering of his, but I knew it was different, he wasn't suffering the way Add was, this expression of his isn't pain but rather commitment and power.

Before Chung could reload his canon the demon had vanished into thin air, leaving nothing but a small pile of blood.

"Blood...?" I say to myself. I wonder why a demon was bleeding, the dark red blood of a human. I quickly rush over to where Chung was to inspect his injuries.

I head over to Where Chung was standing, he was stable and strong. His eyes seemed to be fixated on the pile of blood, his expression was still dark, but somewhat dedicated and positive. I take my hand up to pat his head, but before I could he turns over to me and smiles, the darkness engulfed by his optimistic radiance.

"I did it Eve!" He smiles widely, waiting for me to say something.

"Yea..." I answer back in a whim.

"Though he did escape... But with that type of injury he should die very soon" Chung smiles as he says this. His warm yet somewhat sharp voice sent shivers down my spine, I wonder what this was called...

Ah yes... Fear

"Eve, you ok? You look surprised!" Chung tilts his head slightly and wears a puzzled look.

"Ah...ye-s..." I cautiously answer back as I lift my head back up.

"Ok guys, we've got to get Rena and Raven now! Let's go!" Elesis orders, motioning us to the gate.

Everyone automatically reacts by rushing over to the gate, getting their weapons ready to attack the demons. I set out to go after everyone else went.

"Eve" Chung still hasn't gone anywhere and he stopped me in my tracks.

"What is it..."

"Don't try to help me fight anymore, I'm not weak, I can protect myself. I won't cry"

Cry... The liquid from the eyes, he says that, though he somewhat looks like he's cried...?

Add hears what he says and turns to Chung, he's pissed, as if that comment was also meant for him.

"Well, shall we go?" Chung offers a hand out to me.

"Ah..." I eye him suspiciously, waiting for any sudden movements or unnatural behaviour.

"It's not like I'll attack you or anything, all my weapons are on my back, it'll take some time to get my destroyer ready as well" he answers my questioning.

I cautiously place my hand in his. He clutches it tightly. His hand was larger that it looks, though compared to Add's it was small. When I look up I realise that Add was already gone. Chung looks towards me and smiles.

"You shouldn't force yourself so much..." I suddenly blurt out, immediately regretting it.

Chung looked surprised, sad even. "You don't have to worry about me, anyways let's go, everyone is waiting" he pulled me as he stepped forward, the feeling of his hand was warm, warm but uncomfortable, as if he was grabbing onto it with his life, enough to crush it.

I wanted to see his facial expression. Was he still smiling? Or was the tensity of his grip also shown on his face, I try to keep up while I find ways to see his face but it was out of my reach, it was as if he didn't want me to see his face on purpose.

"Hey you guys are slow!" Elsword blurts out.

I see Elesis eyeing the hand that was clutching mine, then looking at me.

"Sorry, sorry" Chung exclaims, rubbing his head with the free hand.

I attempt to shake off his hand but it was futile, though his grip had gotten softer it was still firm.

"Hey, kid, watch the hand" I hear Add's voice, I immediately turn to him.

"A-Add..." I felt my heart flutter, for a moment I felt human but I immediately retraced that feeling and returned back to normal.

"Hi Add. Nice to meet you too~" Chung teases Add which I know was a horrible idea.

"What did you say...?" Add's face lights up and he glares at Chung. At that point Chung's grip was weak but the moment I tried to wriggle my hand out his grip got tighter.

"I'm just holding Eve's hand, is there something wrong with that?" Chung's voice was serious, firm and intimidating. Add took a deep back in defence.

Chung looks at me and smiles, then immediately changes. "Does this make you... Uncomfortable?" He asks as if suddenly realising that I was also part of this situation. His face flushes a bit and he immediately apologies several times.

"It's ok, it wasn't that bad" his face lights up like a puppy recieving a treat.

"You didn't hate it?"

"I didn't dislike it"

He gives a sigh of relief and a soft smile.

"Eve, let's go" Chung says, grabbing my hand once again, this time softer.

"Sorry but Eve's coming with me" Add wacks Chung's hand off of mine and takes my wrist. When I look back at Chung his expression was disappointed and somewhat judgemental as he analysed Add. His expression was serious and pure.

"Rena and Raven headed east, let's go collect them and head back to Hamel" Elesis states.

"Yes!" We answer back.

Add's hand that was clutching mine was big and warm, it was similar to Chung's. I look back to see Chung staring at me, I quickly whip my head back out of shock and instinct.

Chung's gaze was on me.
