Lost in Time [AddxEve Elsword]

Rena's POV

Raven was leading us and the two soldiers were close behind me however of them was staggering at the sight of the demons.

"Careful" I whisper to him.

"Ah! Thanks" he answered back, embarrassed at his clumsiness.

I smile back and say it's ok as long as he doesn't badly injure himself. I look back at Raven to see that he was annoyed at me, most likely because I was kind to a stranger again, I remember the last time I offered help to a stranger I was nearly kidnapped of it weren't for Raven's quick thinking and Eve's tasers.

The other soldier had stayed quitter the whole time, he didn't show any doubt or insecurity as he sliced the demons infront of him. His eyes seemed to be unwavering and his swordsmanship was fabulous, on the other hand the other soldier was stumbling and panicking a lot, enough to nearly end his life twice if the other soldier didn't defend him.

We suddenly come to a halt when Raven swipes his arm up, his golden eyes darting from side to side.

"It's here" He announces.

"W-wha-" the clumsy soldier's hand wobbles at the sight of the man who suddenly appeared indent of us, dressed in all black, his white hair complementing the armour.

"Shit" I hear the demon curse as he disappears as suddenly as he appeared, leaving behind a patch of red blood to mark his place.

"This is... human blood" the other soldier states, wiping the blood on his finger to closely examine it.

"Should we head back, there seems to be nothing up ahead except for barren land" Raven states.

I nod in response and we start to head back.

"Heeeeeyyyy~ Raaaven, Reenaaaa, you guys alright?" I hear Elesis shout, her shadow followed by many others.

"Yeah, we are"

We head back to the cabin and rest for a while, we started to treat our wounds.

Add's POV

Eve is over there, helping the little boy bandage him cause he can't do it himself, what a bother, I bet Eve is annoyed right now! Not that I can tell... I still can't read these new expressions of her's...

"Chung...your arm please" Eve gently takes his arm and starts to bandage it, her expression changed, just for a second, an expression I've seen before... Pain.

"Thanks Eve" the little guy chuckles and he smiles at her. How could he smile like that when he's forcing Eve to do something like that? I couldn't help it anymore. I wanted to take Eve back, tell her to stay away from him, but I'm afraid she'd hate me for forcing her to do something, I know she hates being forced or controlled. I sigh and head outside for a breather, though I was wounded it wasn't that bad.

"Add..."

"Eve...!" I exclaim.

"I've finished helping Chung so..." She shows me a bandage and points to my back. "May I?"

The politeness in her words are unfamiliar and cold. We head back inside and she makes me sit. Her small hands touch my back, unzipping my top, the slowly peeling it off, revealing a painfully purple bruise that spread all over my back, several small cuts accompanied the bruise, making it sting as the fabric got torn of the wound. I flinch at the feeling of fabric rubbing against my cuts. Eve doesn't waver from my reactions and takes out a cotton bud dipped in disinfectant. I brace myself for the pain.

It stings as she starts covering my wounds, I flinch slightly, trying not to cry out I bite my bottom lip. Eve seems to notice as she peers over my shoulder to see my face in agony. She gently blows on my wound, the feeling of a slight breeze touches my flesh and the pain subsides, my body immediately loosens.

Eve took out an ointment she had made with the local alchemist and she started to spread all across my bruise. Her tiny hands glided across my skin, her fingers massaging the ointment in. I shudder at the feeling. Eve immediately stops to look up at me, her face expressionless, I knew she was trying express something but I couldn't quite make out the expression, instead I give her a pat on the head, assured Eve goes back to rubbing the ointment.

She packs up the little package for the ointment and zips my top back up.

"We finished?" I ask "I guess I'll go now-"

Eve swiftly places her hand on my back and tilts her head downwards. I angle my head to see what was wrong.

"I'm sorry" she whispers.

"W-wha- ah- huh?" I start to panic at the sudden apology she gave me. "Eve- I, uh"

Before I could say anything else she wraps her skinny arms around my head, covering my eyes, I could feel her lips touch my cheek making me blush heavily and panic. Looking calm? Check. Feeling calm? Oh he'll no. My insides were tingling with excitement, as if they were jumping up and down.

"Ev- wha- I- uh-" words couldn't come out of my mouth, I just sat there patiently like a dog waiting for its owner.

Her lips leave and she gently rests her head on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry.... Add" her small hands were ever so gently pressing against my back, though they were trembling, she stroked the bruise, but her movements were uncertain and hesitant.

My body petrified itself and I stay still, eventually I forced my body to turn around to face her, I place my hands on her shoulders swiftly, making Eve's expression change just for a second, her head shooting up to face me.

"I- uh... It's, ok Eve..." I manage to make myself say some words to her, though my eyes were not directly connected to hers, as if they were, I would've surely melted from her gleaming bright eyes, staring straight at me with such purity.

"I uh... Li-"

Before I could finish m sentence I hear a thud from behind, quickly I turn around, to see a soldier on the ground.

"No, please don't, please don't, pleasedontpleasedontpleasedont" the soldier scurries back, I loom further to see what was causing him to do so. There I saw a soldier, his eyes red. There was a small smudge of blood on one of his fingers, his aura shrouded in black.

"Yes Master Ran, At your command"
