Lost in Time [AddxEve Elsword]

Add's POV
I dart back and defend Eve with my arm, only to be pushed away and replaced with her fighting presence next to me. She glances at me, then to the soldier, he seems to be demonised.

"Yes master Ran" he utters, then proceeds to swing his sword irrationally.

"BINDING CIRLCE!" Aisha shouts before any harm could be done. The soldier freezes solid in an uncomfortable position mid air.

"PERFECT STORM!" Rena creates a tornado, swooping the soldier up and spinning him around ferociously with a mixture of black flames, fading away after, leaving behind nothing but ashes.

"That... Wasn't me" Rena points out, still slightly stunned by the scene we just witnessed.

"What on earth was that?" I ask, baffled by the scene.

"Look here" that guy with the guns and stuff says.

"What?" I ask, annoyed.

The boy points to the smeared blood.

"Well...?" I wait.

"This blood is the same blood from the demon before" he points out.

"And... How do you know?" I ask, not convinced by this pretty boy.

"Before we left I soaked a little bit of the puddle of blood left into this handkerchief, probably a little bit later than when he got the blood smeared"

"So...?"

"Just look" the little boy shows us the handkerchief drenched in blood, within seconds the handkerchief was engulfed in black flames, leaving nothing but ashes.

Damn. I thought to myself.

"This should be enough proof got you to believe me" he pointed out, eyeing me.

"Well... I guess so" I replied awkwardly.

"Well have to be careful not to get any of this blood on us!" he said to us.

"Hmff! Like I'll be stupid enough to do that blondie" I retorted.

"C'mon guys, stop fighting" Elesis puts her hands on our faces.

I wish she would just mind her own business for once.

Eve's POV
Everyone started to head back into their rooms as I stayed in the entrance way, staring at the pile of ashes. Something struck me, the reality of the human's fragility, and the reality of the human's lack of sympathy. I kneel down on my knees and close my eyes.

"Rest in peace brave soldier"

I wonder how this soldier felt when he was engulfed by the flames. Was he sad? Happy? Or maybe angry?

I open my eyes and head outside for a little recovery. I stretch my arms out and let out a sigh of relief, relaxing my body. Immediately a shot of pain hits my chest, its poison gauging deep into my body, my head starts to throb loudly, making my ears ring.

What is this...? I ask myself.

"Hey Eve, what are you doing out here?" I hear the warm tone of Chung behind me. Not being able to respond I hopelessly drop to the ground.

"Eve! Eve. Ev...."

"EVE! EVE! EV-"

"Add! Shhh, let her rest"

"EVE! Please wake up..."

Add...?

At this moment something occurred to me.

"Welcome to the divine Nasod Kingdom"

Oh, that's right...

No one is hindered by unnecessary emotion."

I nearly forgot...

"We are made strong, sturdy, and smart."

That's right...

A Nasod, a robot. Emotionless, sturdy, smart.

"Ev-" "EVE!"

"Nasod:Eve is awake,
Status: fine
Mode :resting"

"Eve...?" Add wraps his arms around me, squeezing me tightly. To be honest it was quite inconvenient as I couldn't move and my functions were limited. Eventually he was asked to be pulled away by Rena as she said it looked like I was ' suffocating'

"Eve, you ok?" Chung asks, cupping my hands in his.

"Status: fine"

"Are you sure?" His grip tightens.

"Hey! Your making Eve uncomfortable..." Add sneers over at us. Chung slowly lets go, his fingers tracing mine on the way. Just before completely pulling away he whispered in my ear.

"Smile"

He pulled away and went back to his room.

"Let's give Eve some space, she'll probably feel better without a crowd surrounding her" I hear a voice say.

"Yeah, that's probably for the best"

Everyone leaves. Except for Add.

Add's POV
I ended up staying behind unintentionally, before I knew it everyone had already left.

"I- uh- umm..." get your shit together Add!

"So uh... How's your day been?" I mentally punch myself in the face. How's your day been. Really? Was that the best I could do? We all that today was tiring and full of stress.

"Fine" she answers back with her old monotonous voice. I frown a little.

"Hey Eve, are you sure you're fine?" I ask, although anyway knowing what the reply will be.

"Status :fine" she answers back. There it is. The monotonous, emotionless voice, stare and answer.

"Eve..." My heart droops a little after reassuring that my prediction was correct.

I feel her hand touch my hair.

"Status: stressed
Mode: resting" I realise she's taking about me.

"Add. You are ok?" I couldn't quite make out whether her sentence was a statement or a question. So I replied with a simple nod.

Her hand drops beside her and she tilts her head slightly forward.

"That's good..." She whispers, her voice softening for a moment.

Knowing that she wasn't completely frozen in the inside I feel relieved.

"Well then... I'm going to go now. Bye Eve"

"Bye" she answers back, already changed to her monotonous voice.

I force a smile to cover up my worry. The door closes behind me and I head back to my room.
