Adam narrowed his eyes at me. "What is wrong with you?"
"I'M NOSEY!" I yelled.
Tyler rolled his eyes. "Look, whatever she asks you, don't tell her unless I tell you to tell her. Got it?"
"Uh sure." Adam said, glancing at me. He knows I have my ways of getting him to tell...and I will get him to tell. Tyler might scare him, but he doesn't me. I can hold my own in an argument with him, plus I'm a girl, so I can hit him, and he can't hit back. Well he could, but he won't.
Tyler turned to me. "And I don't want YOU trying to get anything out of him. If anyone is going to tell you anything, it's going to be me. You need to hear from me."
"And if I don't?" I asked.
He smirked. "You will."
I shook my head. I'll hear it from anyone who is willing to tell me. If that's Tyler, great. Actually, I want to hear it from him. This is about him, so he should be the one to tell me.
"Why is it everytime I send you to get these two, you never come back?" Bently asked, coming out on the deck.
Adam through up his hands. "Everytime I show up, Ebony tries to get me to talk, Tyler threatens to kill me if I tell, and then they argue until you show up. If you want something done, do it yourself bro." I watched as he stalked away. He's so cute.
"Maybe I will." Bently mumbled.
"What do you want?" Tyler asked.
"To get you two so we can attempt to do something fun. That hasn't seemed to work out the past couple of days though."
"I wonder whose fault that is?" Tyler asked sarcastically.
Oh God. If they start fighting again, I might have to push one over the banister. Preferably Tyler...that was a mean thought. Maybe I won't push too hard.
"It's yours." Bently growled, not looking at Tyler.
I decided to stop this before it starts. "Can you two not do this? If we're going to go do something, lets go do it."
"Fine." They both said.
~~~
"Can we please take a break?" Adam groaned.
He's the youngest of all of us. Shouldn't he be in better shape? I mean it's not like this is a mountain or anything. It's a large hill.
"I'm up for that." Bently said.
I rolled my eyes. Wimps.
"Fine. You stay here on that rock, and Eb and I will go on ahead." Tyler said, winking at me in the process.
Bently glared at him. "No thanks. We can take a break when we get to the end punk."
"Bently!" Adam yelled. "I'm dying. I can barely breathe. I need to breathe to live! So let them go ahead, and chill. He's not stupid to kiss her again. She'll kill him."
I stared between the boys. Bently raised his eyebrows at Adam. "Ok...we can stop."
"We can stop too if it would make you feel better." I said.
Tyler grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from Bently's side. "No we can't. See you guys later."
After about five minutes of pulling me away from the other two, and me struggling to get away from him, he let go. I pushed him away. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
He shrugged. "Bently's a bad influence."
Was he being serious?! "Bad influence?! Tyler! You kissed me, his girlfriend, and then beat his ass! How is he the bad influence?"
"I did beat his ass didn't I?" He smiled. "What do you think about his black eye?"
"I hate it. Now how is he the bad influence?"
"You hate it? Should I have punched the the other one? Personally, I think it would make him look too badass. Having one black eye says; I can't fight. Having two says; I'm a future rebel. Some people think that look is hot and I can't have that. I'm the hot one."
I glared at him. "You two look just alike, now answer my damn question."
He smiled. "So you do think I'm hot. I knew it."
I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. I'm about to hit him. HARD!
"Count to ten. It helps a lot." He said.
"I'm so annoyed with you right now."
"Like that's anything new." He mumbled. He climbed up on to a large rock that we would have to get over before we could continue this hike. He reached his hand out to me and I took it. Once I was safely on the other side, I continued what I was saying.
"Just tell me how Bently is any worse than you."
He sighed. "Bently is complicated ok. You can't be in between with him. You either love him, or you hate him."
"That doesn't answer anything."
"He gets in people's heads in different ways. To you, he's the perfect boyfriend. To his friends, he's the star soccer player." He paused and looked at me. "He's just gotten inside my head to many times. He knows things about me that he shouldn't. He uses those things against me but I can't do anything about it. I know you don't want to believe me about him. I don't want you to have to see that side of him, but I feel like it's the only way you're going to get what I'm saying."
I kept my eyes straight ahead. I could hear the truthfulness in his voice, but I had never seen Bently do anything to Tyler without him triggering it.
"What does he know Tyler?" I asked quietly.
"Too much."
"What has he done?"
He looked at me with so much intensity that it almost scared me. "He took the one thing I care about most in the world." He looked away. "The worst part is, I never even had it. Not really."
"What is it?"
He smiled a small smile. "Don't worry about it Eb. I'll get it back." He turned his gaze back to me, again the intensity there was frightening. "I always get what I want."
A/N: I finally got this up! Sorry it took so long. I had a lot of Internet problems and then my brother comes home and says he needs the computer for some assignment. I'll have you know, he has a much better laptop than mine. My parents got it for him when he graduated last year. So why would he want to use mine? Because he's a laptop stealing, xbox breaking, jerkface! Enough about my brother though. What do you think about this chapter? I struggled with it. I like the ending though. If you read carefully, you might be able to figure some things out. BUT even if you do, and you ask me, I probably won't tell you if you're right, because I'm a horrible person haha. The next chapter I think will be better. I have had it planned out for awhile, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to put the thoughts into words though. You know how hard that is. Ok, well I'm going to stop talking now. Vote and comment! :)
