The Throne ? Book Two

Saber's POV

"Hi Saber." I jump when I hear a voice coming from the door to the office. I look up and see Ivy

"What do you want, Ivy?" I ask, not in the mood for anything right now. Ivy smirks and teases me

"Geez, Mr. Grumpy, what's got your panties in a twist?" I groan and roll my eyes

"I'm in a bad mood because Nia isn't making any progress and I have a lot of work to do and I'm not in the mood for any of your childish antics so please leave me alone."

"Okay, fine. But, come on Saber. I know that the incident was a month ago and it's hard for Nia to not be with us for that long, but we have to pull through, we have to be strong for her. If you need any help with work around the kingdom, don't be afraid to ask me for help. I won't mind, I like being helpful, and it'll be good practice." Ivy states "You know, since I am going to take over Gato Reino at one point."

"Okay, thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that." I reply, sighing "I just really want her to wake up." It hurts to not see her smile, hear her voice or her laugh, it just hurts with her not with us. Almost every moment I wish that I could see her, talk to her, but it never happens. "I need to see her." I murmur under my breath, and storm past Ivy to go to the hospital.

Hopefully it'll calm my mind.

Ivy's POV

"I need to see her." Saber murmurs, and shoves past me, practically sprinting through the castle halls.

"Oh, Saber." I sigh and shake my head. I am very concerned for him, it's like he's becoming a shell of his former self the longer that Nia is in her coma.

I walk through the castle corridors to Angel's room, and I hear her and Inferno talking and laughing. I hesitate, then softly knock on the door. I hear shuffling, and the door is flings open to reveal Angel. She look at me confused, and steps aside to let me in her room.

"Ivy, what's wrong? Why are you here?" She questions, looking concerned

"I'm really concerned about Saber, it's like he's deteriorating the longer that Nia is in that coma. I don't know what to do, but I really want to help him." I explain, plopping down on her bed in defeat. She sighs and sits next to me

"I've seen it too, and I understand. But, I don't think there's anything that we can do, other than being there for him as friends, and showing him affection that way. I fear for what will happen to him if Nia never wakes up, or if it takes her another month for her to wake up."

"I think we just need to keep him occupied and thinking of other things the best that we can." Inferno adds, standing in front of us.

"It doesn't really work, there is a lot of work that comes with being a ruler, yet he is still extremely distracted by just the thought of Nia. He pushed past me and practically ran to the hospital to see Nia. Trust me, he is getting worse, and very quickly." I argue, my sour mood getting worse the longer the conversation continues.

"Maybe we should go see them in the hospital." Angel suggests

"Speaking of which, how are you and Wolf doing?" Inferno asks me. I reply

"We are both mostly healed, just some scratches and bruises here and there, but he sleeps a lot. He's still sleeping right now, actually." Angel interrupts and suggests

"Well, anyway, should we get going to the hospital?"

"Yeah, let's get going." I say and stand up with Angel, then we walk out of her room. Angel walks forward to stand next to Inferno. It's so obvious that they like each other, but both of them are blind to it, and can't see it in the other. I will have to talk to Angel about this.

We get to the hospital and see Saber and Amaro facing off, about to fight. I hear Angel gasp, and I just stare at them, shocked and confused.

"Saber, what's going on?" I burst into Nia's hospital room and demand an answer from them. Amaro sees me, and vanishes. Saber growls and huffs, starting to pace. "Saber!" I shout, and he glares at me.

"What?!" He snaps.

"What just happened in here with Amaro?" I question. Saber growls and turns his back to me

"I don't want to talk about it!" I snarl

"Fine!" Storming out, I push past Angel and Inferno who waited outside of the hospital room, and go outside to the gardens to shift and blow off steam.

Amaro's POV

I can't help it, I need to see her. It's like a burning desire within me, and it's overwhelming. I teleport to the hospital that is built into the castle and find Nia's room. Seeing her like this hurts. I can feel that we are soul-bound, but her connection with that cat Saber overrides what she feels for me.

I hate him, and I will kill him. One day. I need to get Nia to trust me first, then I will kill him. When that happens, she will mourn his death and come to me for comfort. Obviously, she won't know that it was me. Then, we will be together forever, ruling this kingdom together. It'll be perfect!

I run my finger against Nia's cheek, smiling sadly down at her. She better wake up soon. I want to start talking to her, get her to trust me again, like when we first met. I think back to when I first saw her in the forest, she looked so beautiful.

Suddenly, I get knocked away from Nia with a strong punch to my jaw. I rub it and turn to see who punched me. Well, speak of the devil, it's Saber.

"Why are you here?" He growls at me, failing to be menacing. He's no more than a meek kitten to me.

"I came here to see Nia." I answer with a smile on my face. His anger is too amusing to me. He growls again, and replies

"Why? She hates you. We all do."

"She could never fully hate me, there will always be a part of her that loves me. You see, we are soul-bound." I smugly elaborate, knowing this will only fuel his anger and my amusement.

"I don't believe that for a minute. You need to leave before I do something I'll regret." He pauses and grins at me "Actually, I won't regret it that much." I glare at him, and I'm about to attack him for that comment when a voice that sounds like Nia's interrupts. I can tell it's not her though, just slightly sounds like it.

"Saber, what's going on?" She asks strongly, obviously not going to tolerate silence. I simply teleport out of there, all too eager to leave. I can't stand his presence.

Saber's POV

I hate Amaro. No way can he and Nia be soul-bound. Anyway, that bond won't take effect unless our connection is broken in some manner. Nia or I have to break it, or one of us has to die. Amaro can kill me, but Nia will find out that he was the one who did it and never be with him.

I can't deal with anything right now, my anger is too strong. I need to be alone, and I am glad that Ivy stormed out. I hope she understands though, I don't want her to be angry with me. She is like my sister to me.

I sit next to Nia's hospital bed and hold her hand, which calms me down. Breathing in her scent, I feel completely relaxed. I can't wait until she wakes up.

"I love you Nia, please wake up soon." I murmur to her, and her eyelids flutter as she lightly squeezes my hand. My heart pounds faster and faster. Is she actually waking up?

Sup kittens! Yes, I ended the chapter on a cliffhanger, I know I'm evil and I know you guys want Nia to wake up, don't worry! She will soon, either in the next chapter or the one after that, depends on if I do something that I'm planning for the next chapter or not hehe.

Question:
What would the ship name for Angel and Inferno be? Also, remember if it's easier, Inferno's real name is Ian. Inferno is just his nickname. Out of curiosity, who remembered that?
