Saber's POV
These people at the castle are driving me crazy! They still won't listen to Ivy, but follow my orders fine. Why can't they follow the order to listen to Ivy? I just want to get back to Nia. Every day it's exhausting to try and get them to cooperate when they're ignoring me and leading me astray.
I tiredly walk up the stairs to Nia's room, opening the door and immediately I am enveloped in her scent. Sighing in contentment, I collapse on her bed. It feels like she's here with me. I fall asleep quickly, and I am greeted with the familiar rolling grey fog of the dream realm.
"Saber!" I hear Nia's voice call to me. I turn around to see Nia running to me just in time for me to open my arms and catch her when she flings herself at me. She wraps her warm arms tightly around my body, and I pull her closer to me.
"Hey Nia, why are you here?" I ask her calmly, relishing in the feeling of her being in my arms.
"I don't know, I've been here for a while. I think. It might have just been a little bit. Time seems so long when I'm gone from you, I can't tell. Have we been here before?" Nia replies quickly. I use our connection to see how her mind is doing, only to see it be worse. She must be deteriorating, and Angel put her in the dream realm to keep her calm. I stroke Nia's head and answer
"Yes we have, but I'm sure you don't remember. But come on, we haven't had a staring contest in a while. Let's have one now!"
"Okay!" Nia excitedly responds before we disconnect from our embrace and sit down on the floor of the realm, staring into each other's eyes. Going back through our connection, I dive into her mind and start to help her heal. She seems to heal slightly quicker in the dream realm, and I can last for longer. I don't get tired, and my head doesn't hurt from the effort.
For the next week, whenever I fall asleep, I always see Nia there waiting for me, and we have a 'staring contest'. Her mind has been healing more rapidly, and has improved quite a bit. It still needs to heal more, but I can finally return to her.
Finally, after being here for two weeks, I charge out of the castle and immediately turn into my chimera form. Flying swiftly, I reach the portal to the human realm in a matter of hours. I turn to my tiger form and race through, not stopping for a single moment, just continuing on to get to the house that Angel and Nia are in. I reach the house when the sun starts to set, casting bright colors against the darkening sky.
"Angel!" I call out as I burst into the house.
"Saber, is that you? Are you finally back?" Angel responds, running out to the living room. She breathes a sigh of relief once she sees me "Oh thank goodness, it is you! Nia got so much worse, she wouldn't eat, drink or sleep. Then, she wouldn't leave her room, or let me in there! Once, I made the mistake of calling her Nia. She immediately got very angry, then almost constantly chanted 'only him'."
"Seriously?" I can't imagine my Nia doing anything like that. But, her memory confusion is really affecting the stability of her mind. Angel nods and replies
"I know it's hard to imagine, it was hard to believe and I saw it right in front of me. I was scared for her health and safety, so I put her in a temporary coma."
"Yes, I know. I've seen her in the dream realm, and she seems to be healing a bit better in there than she does here. So, I want you to put me in a temporary coma with her." I declare. Angel's eyes widen, but she nods and waves her hand towards the couch. I lie down, getting comfortable, then I feel myself drifting into sleep.
