The next month was wonderful. All my blog posts were well received, Mark was happy with my work, and I became good friends with everyone on the tour.

Especially the purple haired drummer.

We were almost joined at the hip, and it hadn't gone unnoticed.

"What's going on between you and Josh, hm?" Jenna teased as she made herself a drink in the kitchen.

The boys were still sleeping, but Jenna and I were up early, which seemed to be a great opportunity for Tyler's wife to grill me.

"Nothing. We're just friends. Just like you and I are friends, or me and Tyler are friends, or Michael..."

"I get it," she laughed, cutting me off. "It just seems that you two are really close."

She wasn't lying. Josh was the one I had told about my dad and my insomnia, but I hadn't told anyone else. He also seemed comfortable hugging me or putting his arm around me if we were sat together.

I just saw it as him trying to get to know me and treat me like family, so I didn't feel awkward on tour.

"Honestly, nothing's going on."

Just then Josh came out from the bunk room, his wet hair symbolising that he'd just got out of the shower. He was still shirtless, and I accidentally let my gaze linger for too long.

Jenna coughed and I whipped my head round, blushing over how I'd been caught.

Josh was oblivious, and just looked between me and Jenna, confusion taking over his features.

"Good morning ladies," he chirped.

I mumbled a 'morning' back, and Jenna laughed at me.

"A very good morning for Liz, I think." She winked at me and then left the room with her drink, heading back to the bunks to wake her husband up.

"What was that all about?"

"I have no idea," I lied, shrugging. I sat on one of the couches, and Josh sat right next to me, slouching slightly and leaning into me.

"You're making my t-shirt damp," I observed as his wet hair splayed across my shoulder.

"Sorry," he giggled, but he made no attempt to move.

I sighed and pulled out my phone, opening Twitter and scrolling through, retweeting some of the nicer comments about the latest blog post.

Jenna walked back into the room, with Tyler following her. They sat on the opposite couch, and Jenna grinned at me, noticing the way Josh was lying on me. I rolled my eyes and closed the app, shutting off the screen and focussing on Tyler.

"What's the plan today amigo?"

He snorted at my phrasing, and then answered my question.

"I'm not exactly sure, but today is a day off. Anyone got any suggestions?"

...

We ended up paintballing.

"I can't play." I said. "I've got to take pictures."

"Don't be silly, we need you to make up three teams of two. Plus you can just take a picture at the end." Jenna was bouncing on the balls of her feet, obviously excited.

"Okay, so Michael and Mark can go together, Tyler and I are gonna be a team, and that leaves Josh and Liz."

Now I knew why Jenna was so cheery.

Equipped with guns and dressed in overalls and goggles, we all made our way onto the playing field. It was designed like a farm, with barns and bales of hay scattered around to double as obstacles and hiding places.

We all waited, and then a whistle blew, signalling the beginning of the war. Josh grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him as he ran behind a tower of hay.

"Stick with me, okay?"

I nodded, and he began to count down on his fingers, from three to one. When he reached one, we ran again to the barn in the middle of the field. It was full of more bales of hay, and had a ramp leading to a higher level. He led us up the ramp, and then dropped to his belly. The platform didn't extend the whole length of the barn, so the ground was easily viewable. We waited, and suddenly saw Michael and Mark run inside. We shot them quickly and then got up, running away as we heard them complaining about losing.

Josh grabbed my hand again as we dashed between hiding places, the feeling of his fingers interlocked with mine making a grin grow on my face. I was glad his back was to me, otherwise he would've seen the blush spreading across my cheeks.

We were running so fast that I wasn't able to see what was in front of me, and suddenly I tripped, landing face first on the ground. Josh dropped to his knees next to me as I groaned in pain, my nose really hurting. Josh rolled me onto my back.

"Lizzie, your nose is bleeding, but it doesn't look broken."

He held my face with both of his hands, brushing dirt off of my cheeks with his finger tips. He was being so gentle I wanted to cry, but I sucked it up and just closed my eyes, relishing in the feeling of his fingertips carefully sweeping across my face.

"Can you get up?" He asked me softly, and I opened my eyes to see his brow furrowed with worry.

"I can try."

I held onto Josh's arms for support as I pulled myself up into a sitting position, and even in my bloody state, I couldn't help but notice how big Josh's biceps were.

Josh must've noticed my almost vacant expression.

"You're not going to pass out on me, are you?"

I shook my head, smiling at his misinterpretation.

"No, I'm good. Can you help me up?"

He stood and pulled me up slowly until I was safely on my feet again.

We whipped around when we heard yells behind us.

"WE'VE GOT YOU... Liz, what happened? You look terrible!"
