As soon as we left the airport, we were escorted into our new tour bus. Michael wasn't joking when he said that the bus would be bigger, it seemed huge in comparison to our last one.

The lounge area had a bigger TV, and more spacious couches. There were the same amount of bunks, but all of them were wider and had more space to stretch out. There was a larger shower in the bathroom, and everything just seemed more modern and fancy.

It was almost midday, but I quickly took a shower due to feeling gross because of the plane. Whilst I washed my hair, I couldn't help but let my mind wander back to the fact that I had actually slept for the first time in forever, and it was all thanks to Josh.

I shut off the water after rinsing my hair out, towel drying it and braiding the blue strands. I walked into the lounge/kitchen area, flicking on the kettle and adding sugar and coffee to my mug. I leant against the counter whilst I waited, pulling out my phone and earphones and listening to my "favourites" playlist. The first song to come on was Trees, so I turned it up. Loud.

I had poured the hot water and the milk into my coffee so I sat on one of the couches, sipping on my drink as the sound of pounding drums filled my skull. I loved listening to it like this, so loud through my earphones that I could feel the drum beat in my stomach.

My eyes were closed, and when the song finished I opened them again to see Josh looking at me.

I pulled out my music as I jumped.

"Jesus, Josh, I didn't know you were there!"

He laughed at me.

"I didn't mean to scare you. I was just wondering if you wanted to grab some food? I'm sick of cereal."

I laughed. "Sure, let me just grab my camera."

...

Josh and I ended up in a small cafe about 5 minutes away from the bus. We bought iced lattes and muffins, and hid in a booth in the back of the shop.

It was warm, and the atmosphere was cozy. I sipped my latte as I listened to Josh tell the story about his first gig with Tyler.

"...so in the end, we played one song, but then the show was shut down by the police. Someone had complained about the noise, I think."

"Oh no! That sucks!"

"I know! I'd actually quit my job just so I could play this gig too."

I shook my head in amusement.

"God, imagine if twenty one pilots hadn't worked out."

Josh shrugged. "I don't think I could see myself doing anything else. This band means everything to me. What about you? If you hadn't got work experience with us, what would you be doing now?"

I took another sip of my drink. "I'd finish university, and then, I don't know. This whole PR thing I'm doing for you is what I've always wanted to do. Either this, or working for a music magazine. Knowing my luck though, I'd probably end up stuck working in McDonalds for the rest of my life."

"You'd get unlimited Big Macs though!"

We both laughed.

"Although that might be true, I would hate it. I'm so glad I'm here right now."

Josh looked straight at me.

"Me too."

"Oh my God! You're Josh Dun!"

A screaming teenager had made her way to our table, brandishing her phone.

"I love your music! Can you sign my phone case? Can I get a picture?"

Josh smiled at her.

"Of course! Lizzie, can you call Michael? Just in case."

I grabbed my phone and called our security, whilst Josh took a few selfies with the fan. When I hung up the phone, I looked back at Josh, who had attracted a few other fans.

"He's on his way over."

Josh quickly took photos with a few more girls and then turned to me.

"We should start walking now, just in case any of these people have given away our whereabouts. I'm so sorry about this."

"Don't apologise, it's part of your job. It's not your fault."

Josh smiled gratefully at me, happy I understood.

We made our way towards the entrance, when Josh grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine. His hand was warm, and although he had callouses from playing the drums, his hands were soft.

I could only imagine how nice it would feel for Josh to run his fingers over my skin, maybe drawing little patterns with his fingertips as we both cuddled to sleep...

"Guys, are you okay?"

Michael had found us, and started walking back the direction he came, leading us to the bus.

Josh still hadn't let go of my hand, and I was reluctant to let go myself. But when we got onto the bus, Josh slid his hand from my grasp. Tyler and Jenna were in the lounge area, seemingly oblivious. However, when Josh and Tyler started up a game of GTA, Jenna dragged me out of the room.

"Were you just holding hands?" She whispered excitedly.

"Yeah, I think it was just so we didn't get separated if we got mobbed though."

"Liar. You're so into each other. And both so damn oblivious." She started pacing.

"We're just friends, Jenna."

"Yeah, you're just friends who dye each others hair, cuddle to sleep, never leave each other alone, and hold hands."

"Friends do that."

"Maybe, but have you seen the way Josh looks at you?"

I couldn't help but be a little sarcastic. "Yes, with his eyes."

Jenna put her hands on her hips.

"Liz, I love you, but you are a piece of work sometimes."

We both laughed, and went to join the band.
