- dan -

Dan woke up with Phil's arms around him.

He knew Phil was already awake, as his breathing was different than when he was asleep, so he turned around. Phil looked at him with those beautiful blue eyes of his, his emotions unreadable.

Dan didn't feel like getting up, though, so he snuggled closer, his head on Phil's chest. He heard Phil chuckle softly as he ran his hand through Dan's hair.

"You're adorable." Phil whispered, grinning at the smaller Brit. Dan whined quietly, wrapping his arms around Phil. "I don't wanna get up."

"You're gonna have to eventually."

"Nooo." Dan groaned. "I'm gonna stay here."

"You have to get up or I will go watch anime without you."

"No way."

~

Dan ended up on the couch with a cup of tea in one hand and the other around Phil. Phil had a cup of steaming coffee in one hand and the computer mouse in the other as he turned the show on.

Dan's head lay on Phil's shoulder, and Phil's head lay on Dan's. They had the same blanket over both of them - if you had seen it, you would have described it as adorable.

About halfway through their third episode, Dan tapped Phil on the shoulder. Phil paused, looking at Dan.

"Phil, I think I want to tell the subscribers the truth about what has been happening."

"Whatever you want to do, Dan. If you think you can, I will support you entirely. Just know that I'm proud of you, whatever you decide to do."

"Thank you."

"There's no need for thanks, Dan."

And with that, Phil unpaused the episode.

- flashback -

"I didn't raise a faggot!" Dan's father shouted, Dan frozen against the wall. "I will not have a filthy boy-kissing sinner for a son!" He slapped Dan, who flinched out of the way.

"Get out of my house!" His mother shouted, pointing at Dan accusingly. "I will not have someone like you around my children!"

Dan ran to his room, quickly packing up his laptop and grabbing his phone before running out of the house, crying. He went straight to Euan's house, knowing that he and his parents would be fine with him staying there; after all, Euan was a pansexual trans boy, and his parents supported him completely; that was kind of expected, though.

Phil is there too, Dan thought, the realization cheering him up a bit. Phil always knew what to do to help him feel better, even after something like this happened.

"Dan? Dan, what happened?" Euan was at the door, looking concerned.

"My parents kicked me out." Dan's voice shook as he wiped at his eyes, trying to stop the flow of tears.

"Oh, my god, Dan. Come in. Phil's in the dining room, we're having dinner. You can set your stuff in the den for now."

Dan did as Euan said, whispering, "Thank you."

"You don't need to be thankful. You're one of my best friends; I'll always help you out." Euan grinned.

Dan walked into the dining room with Euan; Phil looked up, saw the state he was in, and looked concerned. Euan's moms both turned to look at him; both Eliza and Maria looked concerned as well, as there was clear tears tracks on Dan's face.

"What happened?" Eliza asked, the melodic tone of her voice ringing through the room.

"My parents found out that I'm bisexual, a-and they kicked me out." A fresh wave of tears flowed out of Dan's eyes as he remembered the look on his mother's face - like he ha betrayed her.

"Oh, Dan." Maria whispered, then she, Phil, Eliza, and Euan were all hugging him, as he broke down sobbing.

"Honey, it'll be alright. Everything will work out." Maria whispered.

Dan didn't know if he believed her.

Dan woke up on the couch, Phil's arms around him. As he moved, Phil looked down at him; seeing the look on Dan's face, he asked him, "What?"

"I dreamed about the night I got kicked out." Dan whispered, and Phil immediately started comforting him. "Maria was right, though. Everything did work out."

"I guess it did."
